A police officer in Lagos has been arrested and charged to court after he allegedly shot and innocent driver and his passenger.Nelson Bassey, a corporal who has since been dismissed, is said to have injured one Andrew Okoh and his passenger, Isaac Adesina, with his AK47 rifle due to their refusal to give him a bribe.
Bassey initially claimed that the victims were armed robbers until the truth was discovered and he was apprehended and charged with the crime.
