Lagos Assembly Orders Re-Opening Of Registration Portal.



Lagos State House of Assembly has ordered the management of the Lagos State University to re-open the registration portal for the over 1,000 students so they could complete the registration exercise.

It would be recalled that the students of the institution had, on January 22, protested the decision to close the portal disrupting the second semester examinations of the 2012/2013 academic session. However, the next day, the protest turned violent as the school's property was destoyed. The police had to intervene to desperse the crowd, several persons have reportedly sustained injuries. The school authorities have subsequently released a statement informing of the LASU's indefinite closure.

Lagos Assembly to give ₦1.25million for information on tortured Ejigbo women



The Lagos State Assembly yesterday announced a N1.25million reward for anyone with useful informative data on the dastard act perpetuated on two women by some men in Ejigbo in 2013.

During a stakeholders meeting on this problem held at Alausa Secretariat yesterday, Mr Ajibola Adeyeye who's the Chairman Ad hoc committee create by the Assembly to investigate the incident announced the reward token.
"Anybody that gives information that leads to the arrest of the perpetrators of the heinous act shall be given N1 million. And I will add the sum of 250,000 from my private account to increase the sum to N1.25million" He said.
No leads have been made since the video surfaced on the internet a few months back. Lawmakers have commenced hearing on the case.
