A man identified as Mr. Charles Nnadi and his four children have been confirmed dead at Mbu Apochi community in Isiuzo local government area of Enugu State after taking a corn and cassava meal believed to have been poisoned.

Woman Gives Birth To Triplets As 12th Delivery In Katsina State





A 46-year-old housewife, Malama Alhaji-Ali, of Unguwar Namanda village, Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State, on Saturday [Oct. 27], gave birth to a set of triplets in her 12th consecutive childbirth.

WASHINGTON—Oluyinka Akinadewo was sentenced today to 46 months in prison in connection with his participation in a scheme in which compromised identity information was used to commit bank fraud throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Akinadewo’s co- defendant, Olabimpe M. Olejiya, was sentenced on October 11, 2012, to 35 months in prison for his participation in the scheme and his attempted flight from prosecution.

Man Uses Witchcraft To Terrify Girls Into Sex Slavery Across Europe




A Nigerian smuggler who terrified his victims into silence through “juju” witchcraft rituals and sexual violence was convicted today [Oct. 26] of trafficking girls to work in the sex trade across Europe.

Former security guard Osezua Osolase faces jail when he is sentenced on Monday [Oct. 29] for tricking impoverished young Nigerian girls into travelling to Britain before farming them out as sex workers for up (euros) 70,000 a time to continental gangs.

Police identified flight records and forged passport records to show that he recruited 28 girls and escorted many of them abroad over a 15-month period from 2010. But Osolase boasted to his victims that he had been running the scam for more than a decade.

Osolase deliberately targeted some of the most vulnerable girls in the world - orphaned, ill-educated and homeless - and brought them to Britain where he kept them captive.

Ribadu report leakage planned to embarrass govt – Presidency

NDLEA Apprehended 8 Drug Suspects With 10.635kg Of Narcotics





Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Thursday arrested eight suspected drug traffickers for allegedly smuggling about 10.635 kilogrammes of narcotics at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, (MMIA)Lagos.



Amongst the drug suspects apprehended was one Mr. Tembo Gideon aka Benson Okechukwu who was travelling to Thailand with about 2.522kilogrammes of methamphetamine tactically hidden inside local fabrics called Aso-Oke.

Speaking on the arrest, the NDLEA commander at the Lagos Airport, Mr Hamza Umar pointed out that the suspects were arrested with various kind of drugs ranging from cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin among others.

According to Umar, the breakdown of drugs recovered included 4.460kilogrammes of methamphetamine,

An Italian court on Friday sentenced former prime minister Silvio Berlusconi to four years in jail for tax fraud in connection with the purchase of broadcasting rights by his Mediaset television company.
Berlusconi has the right to appeal the ruling two more times before the sentence becomes definitive and will not be jailed unless the final appeal is upheld, Reuters reports.

Prosecutors had asked for a jail sentence of three years and eight months.
The court also ordered damages provisionally set at 10 million euros (8.05 million pounds) to be paid by Berlusconi and his co-defendants to tax authorities.
