TERRIBLE: Trailer Accident at Maryland, Lagos State (PHOTOS/VIDEO)




 There clearly was traffic Jam and fear on Saturday 26th October in Maryland Ikeja, Lagos state after a lorry carrying a trailer had an accident nearby the Maryland roundabout. According to the LASTMA officials the lorry heading towards Maryland bus stop from Ikeja lost its brakes and crashed over the median and into oncoming traffic colliding with a volvo car and a jeep.  Efforts to move the automobile seemed impossible throughout the day, thus causing serious traffic on Ikorodu Road and also Bank Anthony way.

Ole Gbe, Ole Gba: US Government seize home belonging to Alamieyeseigha in Maryland



The US government has seized a Rockville home belonging to former Bayelsa governor, DiepreyeAlamieyeseigha, the U.S. Department of Justice said in a news release last week Friday May 31.

Feds said they seized the home because the former governor bought the house using stolen state money. Alamieyeseigha was ordered to relinquish the $700,000 home on May 24, following an investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Fedederal prosecutors claim Alamieyeseigha bought the Rockville property during his first term as governor “with funds obtained through corruption, abuse of office, money laundering and other violations of Nigerian and U.S. law.”

Maryland Men Sentenced to Prison Terms for Roles in Identity Theft and Bank Fraud Scheme Crimes Caused More Than $90,000 in Losses



WASHINGTON—Oluyinka Akinadewo was sentenced today to 46 months in prison in connection with his participation in a scheme in which compromised identity information was used to commit bank fraud throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Akinadewo’s co- defendant, Olabimpe M. Olejiya, was sentenced on October 11, 2012, to 35 months in prison for his participation in the scheme and his attempted flight from prosecution.

The sentencings, which took place in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, were announced
