Terrible: Nigerian Man Stabs Girlfriend, Sister To Death For Calling Him Impotent



A jilted lover boy identified as John Otoreh in Ishiagu community near Asaba, Delta State has reportedly ended the lives of his girlfriend and her sister after an argument which erupted over his perceived impotence.
 
 Trouble started in the early hours of Friday after John and his girlfriend, Rosemary had a heated argument over his inability to make love to her and the situation worsened as she began to mock and molest him, with the younger sister joining to make matters worse.

Goldie Hawn 'apologized' for calling Leader Goodluck Jonathan Wonderful after knowing about anti-gay legislation



 Hollywood actress and activist Goldie Hawn met President Jonathan on January 22nd at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, took a pic with him, shared it on twitter and described the president as 'wonderful president of Nigeria'.

Thing is, Goldie Hawn is a staunch supporter of gay rights and when some fans lashed out at her for taking a pic with an anti-gay president and praising him, Goldie said she had no idea and was appalled. She immediately deleted the pic with the president and apologized to her twitter followers. Continue.

Police arrest Dino Melaye for calling for the removal of the Minister of Aviation, Ms. Stella Odua (photos)




 Dino Melaye, has been arrested by men of the Nigerian Police Force after a protest in Abuja.
According to reports, the police in Abuja on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, arrested the Executive Director, Anti-Corruption Network, Dino Melaye, after the former House of Representatives member led pro-democracy activists on a protest, calling for the removal of the Minister of Aviation, Ms. Stella Oduah, over the armoured car scandal.

We Want 3 Trillion Before Calling off the Strike-ASUU

The National President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Dr. Nasir Fagge, has accused the federal government of not telling Nigerians the truth about the demand of the union as regards the government’s statement that the union's demand has been met.
According to Fagge, ASUU had a Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with the federal government for it to spend over N3 trillion to turn around the fortune of all federal and state universities and also to better the lot of the educational sector in the country.

Hnmn: Man Visits Prison For Calling Malawian President Stupid



A malawian citizen who insulted President Joyce Banda has been arrested under tough old laws which prevent citizens from making remarks undermining the authority.  Japhet Chirwa, the 37-year-old man has been charged with breaching the peace on Tuesday, after he allegedly called President Jo "stupid."

Japhet Chirwa is believed to have called the head of state "stupid and a failure" after a failed bid to change the name in his passport, police spokesman Maurice Chapola told AFP.  "He got furious and started talking ill of the president," said Chapola, speaking from the northern city of Mzuzu.  Chirwa has been charged with conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace, which could carry a fine or a six-month custodial sentence.  He is expected to appear in court later this week.

“You Are A Failure” – Fasheun Fires Back At Ahmadu Ali For Calling Yoruba Ingrates



Founder of the Oodua People’s Congress, OPC, Dr. Frederick Fasehun, has fired back at a former Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Alhaji Ahmadu Ali, for describing Yoruba people as ingrates.
The OPC boss , while describing Ali’s comment as a symptom of “verbal diarrhoea,” said it showed that the former Minister of Education, whose mishandling of a students’ crisis led to the death of several youths in 1978, “was as insensitive, reckless and narcissistic as ever.”
Fashenu in a statement on Tuesday, said it was bad for the retired colonel to insult world-class Yoruba dignitaries whose shoe latch he could not untie.
He said, “There are some leaders, who had accidentally found themselves in positions in our national life, but their poor performance made them immaterial that Nigerians would rather prefer to abandon on the rubbish dump of ignominy.

How Network Problems Prevented Obama From Calling President Jonathan Twice





Both Presidents Barack Obama and Goodluck Jonathan wanted to talk on phone, but twice calls from the White House to Aso Rock failed to make the connection. Authoritative sources confirmed during the week that efforts by President Obama to personally speak with Jonathan to return his congratulatory message has been aborted at least twice by the failure of the telephone system in Aso Rock.
