Covenant University student, Ndubuisi Brown, drowns



 The initial report I got from a few of his friends was that he committed suicide over the weekend but that has been refuted by other students of Covenant University where Ndubuisi Brown was a student. They all say he drowned at Elegushi or Takwa Bay Beach over the weekend.
Ndubuisi was a student of Economics and Development Studies of Covenant University and was a budding photographer. May his soul rest in peace. Ase.... Continue reading After The Break.

Power Drunk Covenant University Expels 200 Students For Not Attending Church Service




About 200 students may have been expelled by the authorities of Covenant University, Cannanland, Ota, Ogun State, recently for what was described as “disregard of paramount core values.”  Frustrated and angered by the development, some of the affected students who gave account of what happened battled emotions while narrating their situations to Saturday Vanguard recently. They however pleaded with the school authorities to tamper justice with mercy in order to save their future.

We Did Not Build Covenant University From Tithes And Offerings” – Bishop Oyedepo





Bishop Oyedepo last night again, floored those accusing him of ripping off church members through tithes and offering to live in affluence while cruising in private jets.
He said,”the last time Church paid my salary was December 1987, nobody heard it, not even the Ministers in the church until 1997 and church members didn’t hear this until 2007″.'

COVENANT UNIVERSITY EXPELS OVER 150 STUDENTS





The University authorities of Covenant University, Canaanland, Ota in Ogun state, last Saturday expelled over 150 students for varied offences ranging majorly by offences of absentism from departure service (which is the last service held before students go home for vacation)  .
A source told us that trouble started when the Chancellor of the institution,Bishop David Oyedepo visited the school chapel unannounced and noticed that some students were loitering around the chapel,some talking and others were playing while the Vice Chancellor was giving a speech in the school’s chapel.
