Aliyu intends to Name 400 northern traitors




THE Governor of Niger State and Chairman of the Northern Governors forum , Babangida Aliyu, on Saturday said around 400 northerners betrayed the North after obtaining income from mercenaries. He threatened to publish the list soon.
Aliyu who released that disclosure while making homage to the late Emir of Minna Alhaji Ahmadu Bahago at the 25th anniversary of the Emir of Minna Alhaji Umaru Faruk Bahago said the North was not scared of 2015 elections.

Governor Babangida Aliyu Incites Army General Against President Jonathan in Coup Baiting



The real motives of the action of the 7 rebel PDP governors in factionalizing the People's Democratic Party, PDP is coming to light as the  Niger state governor, Dr. Babangida Aliyu yesterday reported the president to  the commander of Nigeria Army Corps Artillery, Kontagora Major General  Hussaini Salihu for not keeping to an alleged 'secret' pact to do one term.

Aliyu, 10 others snub PDP govs’ meeting



The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum may not be over soon as 11  out of the 23 governors  of  the party  failed to attend its meeting in Abuja on Wednesday night.
The meeting, which was initially slated for 3pm, had to be shifted to 8pm when information got to its organisers   that majority of the governors might not attend.

At 8pm, the National Chairman of the party, Dr. Bamanga Tukur, who was also at the Akwa Ibom State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro District, Abuja, had to leave  due to poor attendance by the governors.
Tukur was said to have come with the intention of briefing the governors on the modalities he  had considered before naming members of the party’s National Reconciliation Committee.

PDP Internal Crisis: Amaechi, Aliyu, Others Snub Govs’ Meeting



Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum and Governor of Rivers State, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, was among six governors who were conspicuously missing Monday night at the Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum meeting, which held in the nation’s capital.
Aside Amaechi, other absent governors included Sule Lamido (Jigawa); Dr. Babangida Aliyu (Niger); Seidu Dakingari (Kebbi); Aliyu Wamako (Sokoto); Musa Kwakwanso(Kano) and Sulivan Chime).
Eight other governors, who were absent at the meeting however sent their deputies unlike the six absentee governors.

PDP Crisis: Amaechi, Aliyu, Others Shun Govs’ Meeting



Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum, who is also the Governor of Rivers State, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, was among six governors that were not at the Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum meeting, which was held in Abuja on Monday night.
Also absent were governors Sule Lamido (Jigawa); Dr. Babangida Aliyu (Niger); Seidu Dakingari (Kebbi); Aliyu Wamako (Sokoto); Musa Kwakwanso(Kano) and Sulivan Chime).
Eight other governors, who were not at the meeting, sent their deputies unlike the six absentee governors.
Seven governors and an acting governor (Taraba State), were also in attendance.

Jonathan signed single-term pact with PDP govs — Aliyu • He did nothing like that — Presidency



The intense power play preceding the 2015 presidential election intensified on Saturday when Governor of Niger State, Babangida claimed that President Goodluck Jonathan entered into an agreement with governors on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party to serve for a term.
Aliyu, made the claim during an interview with a Kaduna-based radio station, Liberty FM on Saturday morning.
The audio interview was later in the evening uploaded on an online news portal,Saharareporters.
Aliyu in the interview said PDP governors had a single-term pact with Jonathon.

Niger State Governor, Aliyu Berates Those Celebrating Yakowa’s Death





Governor Babangida Aliyu of Niger has chided those Nigerians reported to have celebrated the death of late Gov. Patrick Yakowa of Kaduna State, describing their action as “inhuman”.
Aliyu made the remark while receiving the Speaker of Niger House of Assembly, Alhaji Adamu Usman who led other members of the Assembly to pay a condolence visit on him.The visit on Aliyu was with regard to his position as chairman of the Northern Governors’ Forum.
