Ribadu Decamps APC, Joins PDP
It seems we in a weather of sudden changes and we’ve got to accept that. A former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Nuhu Ribadu, has dumped the opposition All Progressives Congress [APC] and joined the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP]. Just as many were shocked at sudden and unexpected defection of the former gov. of Osun, Olagusoye Oyinlola from PDP to APC, Ribudu decamping is of greater surprise. Mr. Ribadu was the presidential candidate of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria [ACN] in 2011 and until his defection today considered one of the presidential prospects of the APC in the 2015 presidential election.

Former Abia state Gov Uzor Kalu writes about his successor, Theodore Orji, calls him a chameleon.
In a piece titled "The Chameleon in Theodore Orji", former Abia state Governor, Orji Uzor Kalu bared his thoughts about his successor and one time friend, Theodore Orji, calling him a chameleon. In the no-holds-barred piece, Uzor Kalu spoke about how he made Theodore Orji a governor and how his former friend turned his back on him after he became governor. Find the piece he posted on his Facebook below.
"The first thing that would strike any person meeting Theodore Ahamefule Orji for the first time – 16 years ago – was his humble personality. I doubt if he still carries himself with the same simplicity and candour, for which I have known him, now he has tested power as governor. I say so, because power has a way of intoxicating some people, especially those who never dreamed of getting it. I must openly submit that I was taken in by his facial appearance, not knowing that deep inside he was a different person all together – a chameleon. Subsequent events have since proved me right."

Impossible Fusion - written by Charly Boy
A soulmate marriage does not at all mean that you have found someone you match up with on all the cards – on all the issues, on everything. That would be the most deadly dull thing to even imagine. Instead, it means you've found someone and they don't ever want to blow out that little light inside you. And you feel the same way about them.
Growing up, seeing my Dad and Mum play the happy couple, holding hands, stealing kisses, made marriage look so easy and beautiful. Hummmm for where?

Control of Ebola epidemic will take 6 months - President of Doctors Without borders
"The main thing I come back to is that it is deteriorating faster, moving faster than we can respond to. To put it in context with my time with DWB, I really feel that it is like wartime, in terms of fear and nobody knowing what is going on. We need a response in terms of international organizations and states, and it needs to happen now if we want to contain this epidemic. Over the next six months we should get the upper hand on the epidemic, this is my gut feeling. We need people with a hands-on operational mindset to combat the outbreak." she said

First, I will say that we (women) are like flowers that blossom for sometimes, but after a while go down. If you misuse your body when you are growing up, it will definitely tell on you when you are ageing….
I advise young women not to misuse their body for monetary reasons. Secondly, I will advise them to go to school and try to complete their education. They should be well focused on a particular vocation and develop on it.

Gov. Fashola blasts GEJ & VP Sambo, says Nigeria is worse off under their leadership
In a speech he delivered yesterday August 14th to mark the 50th birthday of former Bayelsa state Governor, Timipre Sylva in Abuja, Governor of Lagos state, Babatunde Fashola said despite the academic qualifications of both President Jonathan and VP Namadi Sambo, their leadership skills have by no means benefited the living standard of the normal Nigerian, insisting that the lives of Nigerians is worse off now than what it had been four years ago.
"Even recently, we all used to think that our National development was inhibited by the fact that we never had a university graduate as leader of any national government in an executive capacity. This perhaps alludes only faintly to some of what I have discussed about the elite consensus but it is not quite the same. Thankfully, the myth for graduate leadership, desirable as it is has now been exploded. We now have two graduates, a Zoologist and an Architect at the helm of our National affairs and I think that the majority of Nigerians would tell you today that their lives are worse off today than they were 4 years ago. Clearly in my view there must be more to leadership than a University degree and educational qualification.Continue..

The Russian appeal to Germany
My name is Egor Prosvirnin, I am the chief editor of the Russian site sputnikipogrom.com which advocates European values. I’ve heard that one of the aspects of life that Europeans, and Germans especially, cherish is history. If we were to recall recent history, we would remember that a vast army of 300,000 Soviet troops along with 5,000 tanks, 1,500 aircraft and 10,000 artillery pieces (including tactical nuclear weapons) simply left the then just-united Germany without firing a shot.
It was an operation unprecedented in scope and brevity, when the entire Soviet army withdrew literally to open fields. Tens of thousands of Soviet officers, obeying the orders of the supreme command, went from their warm barracks to live in moldy tents set up in the middle of sodden snow-covered fields. In many instances along with their families.
