Soldiers shaves man's hair because it was hairy

Something happened recently in Warri and I'd be grateful if you're able to share it on your blog so that folks could be more alert to the madness perpetuated by army officers who're said to be protecting the citizens of the great nation.

On Monday the 19th of May, 2014, my nephew was a lone passenger in a Keke (commercial tricycle) on his way returning from work along PTI road, Effurun. The Keke was flagged down by some soldiers for no obvious reason. They told him to get down and kneel down which he did. Before he could grasp what was going on, they'd started initially to shave off his hair with a couple of scissors, claiming that his hair was too bushy. Attached is a picture of what his hair appeared  when he arrived home.
Can't a responsible child move about freely in his country anymore or is this a way to try to provoke youths to restiveness? Unfortunately, the soldiers, who'd been terrorizing residents and passersby that area for the entire day, had no name tags on the uniforms. The army Toyota Hilux with registration number 148 is the only real exhibit through which they could be traced.

While speaking at a campaign rally yesterday, Uganda's President, Yoweri Museveni mocked President Jonathan for accepting foreign assistance to help fight Boko Haram. The former guerrila fighter said he'd rather commit suicide than ask the international community to guard his people against terrorists
“I have never called the United Nations to guard us. Me, Yoweri Museveni to say that I have failed to protect my people and I call on the UN: I would rather hang myself. We prioritized national security by developing a strong Army, otherwise our Uganda would be like DRC, South Sudan, Somalia or Nigeria where militias have disappeared with school children.
“It would be a vote of no confidence in our country and citizens if we cannot guarantee our security. What kind of persons would we be?” He said

Rev King Is In Prison But See What’s Happening In His Church

Seven years after the General Overseer of the Christian Praying Assembly, Lagos, Rev Chukwuemeka Ezeugo, aka Reverend King, was convicted for murder and attempted murder, Folashade Adebayo attended a service in the church to see how things are going.
Last Sunday was another anniversary celebration of the Christian Praying Assembly, Isolo, Lagos. But as at 9am when Punch correspondent got there, the imposing three black gates of the church were still shut. If not for a number of cars parked opposite the church and a middle-aged man who stood by one of the imposing gates, praying earnestly, one would have concluded that the church, founded by the convicted Chukwuemeka Ezeugo, also known as Rev. King, was on a recess.

Jonathan may be Nigeria's last president - Ex-Gov. Orji Uzor Kalu

Former Governor of Abia state, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, while speaking with airport correspondents yesterday as he returned from a trip to the UK, said if things are not properly checked politically, President Jonathan might be the last president Nigeria will have.

"When I was travelling precisely on the 26 of April, I left this airport and I spoke to the airport correspondents and I said there was a need to collaborate with international organisations. You see, this issue is not about President Goodluck Jonathan. If we don’t take time and work together as Nigerians, Jonathan might be the last Nigerian President. Jonathan might be the Gorbachev of Nigeria. And that is the truth, so we better wake up. Political class, business class, military, civilians must now stand up to work for our internal security. Internal security is more important than anything we have done and I believe that once we are able to come together Nigeria will be alright. As of now the country is in pains; the country is in problem and some people are taking it very lightly.
