Stallion Automobile Made In Nigeria Vehicles Go On Sale





Made-in-Nigeria Hyundai vehicles are finally here. The Group Managing Director of Stallion Automobile Division, Aprvir Singh announced this yesterday at a gathering, where he said the vehicles are now ready to go on sale.  Also speaking at the occasion was the Chairman of the company who also said, the vehicles that were assembled at the Hyundai Motor Plant in Lagos are very much ready for sale and are not on the high side, to enable Nigerians have a break from the strangle-hold of wholesale vehicle importers. i10, Grand, Accent, Elantra and iX35 are being sold at prices between N1.594 million and N1.990

Nigeria now Manufacturing armoured vehicles



AS interest in armoured luxury vehicles increases among top class , some Nigerian vehicle firms have  intensified study work on the armouring technology. Presently, an indigenous car manufacturer, Proforce Limited , has started the manufacturing of Armoured Personnel Carriers.  Proforce claimed it'd closed a pact with Defence Industries Firm and some para-military organisations for the production.

Photos: Woman Killed, Many Injured As Truck Crushes Six Vehicles In Abuja




Tragedy struck in Abuja on Saturday when a woman was crushed to death by a heavy-duty truck and injured many others at Biaji Road in Kubwa . The accident which occurred at 12. 00pm was attributed to the brake failure from the truck which made the driver to lost control of the vehicle and rammed into a woman who about to climb a motorcycle known as (Okada) and killed her on the spot while many others were said to have broken their hands and legs. 

An eyewitness who pleaded anonymity said that the truck hit the woman, throwing her body parts and her body into pieces.

One Killed, Vehicles Vandalised As Youths Clash In Mushin



A 29-year-old man identified simply as Bode was killed after members of rival groups clashed in Mushin, Lagos State on Sunday and Monday.
PUNCH Metro learnt that Bode’s death was as a result of a reprisal on a youth, identified as Joseph Odebowale.
Our correspondent, who visited the scene of the clash at Adeyemi Street, Olosha, learnt that Odebowale, an 18-year-old boy, was beaten up by some youths on the street (Adeyemi) few weeks ago following an allegation of r*pe.
A resident, who craved anonymity, said, “A few weeks ago, Joseph (Odebowale) was accused of defiling a young lady and some youths in Adeyemi Street then came after him and beat him up.

20 Vehicles Damaged, 7 Persons Injured As Hoodlums Storm Motor Parks



Hoodlums led by one Lateef Toriola yesterday invaded two motor parks in Kuto, and Ita-Oshin, in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, leaving seven people critically injured and 20 vehicles destroyed.
Security agencies including, Department of State Security, DSS; Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, and the Police in the state have arrested about 14 persons in connection with the attack.
The crisis it was gathered started as a result of the alleged plan by a faction of the Road Transport Employers’ Association, RTEAN, in the state led by Toriola, to take over the parks.
