Shock As DSTV Station Airs Mandela’s Obituary



Shock and outrage have greeted Tuesday's accidental airing of the death hoax of revered South African former president, Nelson Mandela, fondly called Madiba.
The Universal Channel (shown on DStv channel 117) had aired a programme 'Remembering Nelson Mandela', apparently from an already prepared file on the global icon.
The channel on MultiChoice's DStv pay-TV cable network platform had accidentally aired the obituary to its millions of viewers who took to the social networks to express their shock and grief. Mandela's health had relapsed last week following infection of his lung. But latest reports from the hospital indicates that his condition is improving.

Shock Over Assasination Of Kwara State Commissioner Of Police



THE killing of Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Chinwike Asadu, in Enugu sent shock waves across the country on Sunday. The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, directed the police homicide squad to fish out the gunmen who waylaid and killed Asadu on Saturday night while on a visit to his home in Enugu.
“The killers have murdered sleep and they will not know sleep,” Deputy Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, who spoke for Abubakar said. It was learnt that he was killed at about 9.45pm on Saturday in Abakpa Nike, Enugu East Local Government Area, by the gunmen who trailed him to his street.
Asadu’s police orderly, Aloha Olaniyi and driver, Oliver Omeh, were critically injured by the bandits. The duo are said to be receiving treatment at the National Orthopedic Hospital, Enugu.

Three Sons Slain, Daughter Dies Of Shock, Mother Follows: One Household's Tragedy



Three sons of Chief Essien Akpabio and Mrs. Atim Akpabio, siblings of a prominent Nigerian movies producer and gospel musician, Evangelist Helen Ukpabio, of Mente Village, Nkari Clan, were allegedly killed on March 25 last year by a security team consisting of the State Security Service (SSS) agents on the same day, Ini Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom state. 
The family had also lost a daughter a few days later who died from shock after learning about what happened to her brothers. While the family were yet to comprehend the reason why fate should treat them that way, they never envisaged that the another misfortune will befall them soon again.
