Gov.Oshiomhole pledges support for local, foreign investments






Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, on Wednesday said their state government would continue to supply the needed incentives to attract and support both local and foreign investments into state. Oshiomhole made this known at the opening ceremony of the 2014 Edo Trade Fair in Benin. He explained though land was a fundamental challenge facing potential investors, his administration had reformed the procedure of land acquisition and documentation for economic purposes, thus, attracting investors thinking about exploring the state's resources.

Chinese premier pledges "no strings" support for Africa



Chinese Premier Li Keqiang pledged "no strings" support for Africa's development on Thursday, saying the world's second-largest economy would not meddle in the continent's internal affairs, Reuters reports.

"All China's support for Africa will come with no political strings attached," Li said, speaking at the World Economic Forum on Africa being held in the Nigerian capital Abuja.
"We will not interfere with Africa's internal affairs or ask something impossible of Africa," he added.

New PDP Treasurer Resigns, Pledges Loyalty To Tukur's Faction




National Treasurer of the New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP), Alhaji Tanko Ishiaku Gwamna on Sunday announced his resignation from the national working committee of the parallel faction within the ruling party.

Accordingly, he pledged his loyalty to the national chairman of the party, Bamanga Tukur, saying the current impasse would spell doom for the party.

South African Billionaire Pledges Half His Wealth To The Poor



Henry T. Heald once said; “When lack of funds prevents hospitals from functioning efficiently and fully, private philanthropy of all kinds must help. The difference it makes in terms of human betterment represents the kind of happiness that money really can buy.”
This is why Patrice Motsepe, South Africa’s first and only black billionaire has announced he is giving away half his wealth to improve the lives of the poor.
The mining magnate said the money would be handled by the Motsepe Foundation to address education and health issues.
