FG Advices Nigerian Students in Eastern Ukraine to Vacate



The Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has implored Nigerian students in eastern Ukraine to vacate the area due to fierce violence and unrest in the region.  Ambassador Abdulaziz Dankano, Under-Secretary in charge of Economy and Consular in the ministry, gave the advice in an interview with newsmen on Sunday in Abuja.

Kiev continues hostilities in south-eastern Ukraine.



Kiev has not stopped hostilities in the east of Ukraine in spite of the announced ceasefire until 27 June, Prime Minister of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Alexander Borodai said at a press-conference on June 24, reports TASS. In the meantime, Ukrainian President Petr Poroshenko has confirmed the violation during a telephone conversation with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, but saying that self-defenders have broken the ceasefire in the south-east of Ukraine, according to the website of the President of Ukraine.

"Today was just another day of the war. Slavyansk was shelled, as well as the city of Snezhnoye in the Donetsk Region. Recently, fighting began on the outskirts of Donetsk in the area of the airport, with the use of armoured vehicles, cannons and mortar fire," Borodai said.

Foreign mercenaries at Kramatorsk airfield in eastern Ukraine - LifeNews journalists





LifeNews journalists, Oleg Sidyakin and Marat Saychenko, who were detained in Ukraine about a week ago and released on Saturday evening, claim to have spotted several mercenaries at Kramatorsk airfield in the eastern Donetsk region. "There were lots of mercenaries at the airfield. There were people dressed in uniforms that aren’t typical of Ukraine. They talked to no one and walked into the headquarters in silence. We still can’t figure out who those people might be," Sidyakin told a press conference on Sunday.

The captured journalists didn’t hear English spoken, but saw; "people equipped in Western troops’ fashion".

CIA denies its agents were killed in eastern Ukraine



The US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has denied reports of a number of CIA agents allegedly killed in clashes between forces loyal to the Kiev authorities and self-defense units in eastern Ukraine.

Earlier, the People’s Mayor of Slavyansk, Vyacheslav Ponomaryov, announced that Kiev-controlled troops and law enforcers had sustained heavy losses during a so-called "counter-terrorist" operation in the east of the country.

At least 650 servicemen were killed, wounded or taken prisoner in the past ten 10 days, he said. There are 70 foreigners among them and of those 13 agents of the US Federal Bureau of Investigation and CIA were killed and 12 others were wounded, Ponomaryov told reporters.
