Five persons have been arrested and detained by the Delta State Police Command for allegedly gang-raping one Favour Orji, a student of Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro.
A press statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Celestina Kalu, gave the names of the suspects as Ekperierie Weomazino, Awolowo Abel, Chukwuka Godspower, Wilson Odili and Ojumah Kelvin. According to the statement, in the afternoon of 30 August, 2014, one of the suspects, Ekperierie Weomazino, also a student of the Polytechnic, allegedly invited her to escort him to Owhelegbo junction in the town to collect his handset.
