Baby with four ear lobes, no genital dies in Makurdi - R.I.P

A child born in Makurdi on Thursday with four ear lobes and no genitals has died, a hospital official said.
The baby was delivered by Mrs. Mbanengen Emmanuel at about 5.30pm at Yima Hospital, located in International Market area, a suburb of Makurdi in Benue.

The Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. John Dzike, told the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday that the baby died “few hours after delivery.
Dzike said the baby also had its intestines exposed at the lower the main abdomen.
According to him, it is the second time a baby with such form of complications was delivered at the hospital this year.
He explained that the defect was caused by malformation during pregnancy.
“This can be a case of congenital malformation. Some women use un-prescribed drugs during pregnancy; that is why it is very important to attend ante-natal clinics, especially in the initial 12 weeks.
“Diseases like virus, chicken pox, and mumps which are viral, could cause congenital malformation,” Dzike explained.

Free but prisoners: How children born in Kirikiri prisons live

In the cell block reserved for nursing mothers and pregnant inmates at the Kirikiri Female Prison, Lagos, toddlers clung to their mothers’ chests. They observed our correspondent, when he visited last week Saturday, with a bemused expression on their young faces.

They are in prison because their mothers are inmates. Apparently, they weren’t aware of a better life out there. They probably thought it was normal to be confined only to the four walls of the prison. No friends, no birthday parties, no relationship at all with other children outside the prison walls. They are victims of circumstances and will remain so until they are 18 months old.

Heartless: OAU student gives birth & attempts to flush new born baby down the toilet in school hostel

Based on reports I acquired this morning from students of Obafemi Awolowo University, a lady student of the college gave birth in the Moremi Hostel hall toilet and attempted to flush the infant but was caught my the hall cleaners. They say the girl's name is Oyin ( surname unknown  for now) and she's a 400l student of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The incident happened very early this morning. Based on students of the college who sent in the photo, a cleaner heard a baby crying inside among the toilet stalls and then saw blood originating from underneath the door.

She quickly went to call other cleaners around and they forced the door open. Once the cleaners entered the toilet they saw the student pouring water within the closet, the infant turned ugly, with the head within the closet. Among the women dipped her hand inside and removed the baby...A boy, who had been still quite definitely alive but bleeding from the nose. The cleaners called school management who rushed both your ex and the infant to Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital for treatment. The placenta fell while they were rushing the girl to the hospital.

I personally think this inhuman behavior deserve to face maximum jail terms for attempted murder.

Gambian president Yahya Jammeh warns homosexuals to stay away from the country or regret being born

Gambian president, Yahya Jammeh, has warned that any gay or lesbians found in the country will "regret" being born. During a speech on March 28th at the opening of the country’s parliament, President Jammeh said:
Homosexuality is anti-humanity. I have never seen homosexual chicken, or turkey. If you are convicted of homosexuality in this country, there will be no mercy for offenders. Homosexuality is anti-god, anti-human, and anti-civilization. Homosexuals are not welcome in the Gambia. If we catch you, you will regret why you are born. I have buffalos from South Africa and Brazil and they never date each other. We are ready to eat grass but we will not compromise on this. Allowing homosexuality means allowing satanic rights. We will not allow gays here.
So homosexuals, biko stay away from the country! :-)

A 36-year-old pregnant Amish woman was picking berries in the woods near her home in Pennsylvania, with her husband and two children, in the morning.  All of a sudden the sky darkened and it started raining.
