Reports suggested that the Ukrainian forces conducted a round of shelling on Donetsk early on Saturday. The Ukrainian Army is said to be carrying out attacks from the village of Khanzhonkovo. According to witness reports, several residential buildings have been destroyed.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, the Russian humanitarian convoy arrived in Donetsk, carrying water, food, generators and medication for the population of the troubled region.

An agreement on ceasefire was agreed upon on September 5 in Minsk at a Contact Group meeting, with the details of the ceasefire formulated in a memorandum early Saturday by Russia, Ukraine, the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
The warring sides have repeatedly accused each other of the ceasefire regime violation since the adoption of the ceasefire, although the truce was said to be generally holding.
