• The week is expected to be warm during the day, early mornings and late evening’s fog with a case of scattered shower will be experienced.
• Maximum temperature expected all through this week is 31oC while the Minimum temperature of 26oC is expected.
• The trade wind over the country is Easterlies (i.e. dry continental winds from North Africa), hence cool dry dusty air is blowing over the country (called harmattan dust haze).
• Lagosians should ensure that drains around their homes are well cleaned and maintained to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes (malaria causing parasite).
• Last week weather forecast is rated 60% accurate.
• Health services sector should strengthen her contingency against cases of malaria, catarrh, pneumonia, asthma and other respiratory related illnesses which will be rampant during this period as we approach the dry seasons.
• The construction/ cleaning of drainages in flood prone areas within the state should continue for cleaner environment.
• Construction companies should continue all there out jobs since the dry days are here!
• Farmers should be preparing for the harvesting of their tuber crops, proper storage method should be ensured to prevent loss of farm products.
• Increased dust concentrations which will reduce visibility especially in the early morning is expected therefore, motorist and other road users should be aware of this and take necessary precautions to prevent accident on our roads.
• This week is expected to be clear with some cases of showers!
