Al-Qaeda militants have joined pro-Morsi protesters in their demonstration in Nahda Square in Cairo, the Egyptian Al-Masry Al-Youmre newspaper reports on its website on Monday citing one of the protesters, who spoke in front of people on the main platform of the square.
According to him, “it’s necessary for al-Qaeda militants to join the demonstration as these people have a lot of experience in matters of defense against any kind of attack which may occur in the square”.
Witnesses say that an amount of al-Qaeda black flags has risen over the last days. Demonstrators have already managed to put up sand and block barriers in the square. People can enter the square only through several checkpoints guarded by protesters.
