Brazil 2014 Round of 16: Orji Uzor Kalu PREDICTS A WIN FOR EAGLES

*** Whichever way you look at it my position is simple: Eagles will perform well; even better than they did in 1994. Winning the trophy is what I cannot put my money on.

WHAT'S YOUR PREDICTION? SHARE IT HERE
Let me dwell more on Nigeria’s chances at the tournament. How bright are our chances? Do we have what it takes to confront big-soccer nations as Germany, Brazil France and Spain? I am aware we are going to Brazil as the reigning African champions. Does that add any value to our chances of doing well? As champions of Africa, we will be under obligation to conduct ourselves creditably, and that will bring too much pressure to bear on the team.

Almost every single leader Who Has Stood Up For Africa's Right To Economic Self-determination Has Been Eliminated

Almost every single leader who has stood up for Africa's right to economic self-determination has been eliminated -- either physically or politically!!!!!!!

The question still being asked by Africans, decades after they gained a nominal political independence, is: 'How long shall they kill our prophets while we stand aside and look?'

This question was memorably put forward by the iconic Bob Marley so many years ago, but our prophets continue to be killed.

One by one, our most steadfast leaders have been eliminated, to the point where Africa is hard-pressed to point out more than three people who are advancing the continental agenda for economic freedom.

Stephen Keshi was asked what he thought about the probability of Nigeria facing Karim Benzema. He replied quick as a flash: “And France will be facing Musa, Emenike … ”

There are reasons to be confident after a performance in which Eagles caused problems for Argentina and showed that on a good day, the African champions are as good as any of the teams to go all the way.

“All the teams are good. It doesn’t matter [who you face],” Keshi noted. “You have to appreciate that. It is only Nigeria that don’t appreciate that. Nigerians always think that every team we face we have to kill them 5-0, 10-0. It doesn’t work that way.”
