One of the protesters said the residents haven't been paid September 2013 salary. The house officers who worked for 3 months received payment for just two months with so many deductions. They say this isn't fair considering the health risks they're subjected to on a daily basis and the fact that they're always far away from their families on call only to have their salaries cut in half.
