Iran: Plane crash outside Tehran in kills 48 passengers and crew




48 people, including 40 passengers and 8 crew were killed this morning August 10th when a small passenger plane crashed shortly after take off from Mehrabad Airport in Tehran, the capital of Iran, Iranian state TV reports.

The plane, an Antonov An-140, designed for short domestic flights, was traveling from Tehran to the northeastern city of Tabas when it went down in a residential area. At least five children were on board the plane. Five people on the ground were burnt to death. Iran's aviation authority cited engine failure as the cause of the crash. This is the first major crash in Iran since 2011.

Plane crash in Algeria claims 103 lives



A military transport plane carrying relatives of members of the armed forces veered off the runway and crashed on take-off in southern Algeria today February 11th, killing all 103 people onboard. The plane was carrying 99 passengers and 4 crew members.   According to reports coming from news agencies in Algeria, the Air Algerie plane, a Boeing 737, which is the country's national airline, crashed after one of its engines caught fire as it took off in the remote city of Tamanrasset in the Sahara Desert.

Aircraft Crash In Ilorin -




The International Aviation School, Ilorin on Monday announced the involvement of one its plane in a crash. It said among their aircraft- Diamond DA4000 single-engine with subscription quantity 5N-BRD was involved up in incident at about 11.33a.m.

Briefing newsmen on the incident, the Working Rector of the Institution, AbdulKarim Nuhu said three individuals were aboard the aircraft.

Taraba State Governor feared dead after plane crash at Yola airport






The governor of Taraba point out, Dambaba Suntai, 51, is lying unconscious, some report say dead, moment after the small chartered aircraft he was piloting crashed at the Yola airport in Adamawa Airpot this evening. Two other passengers inside plane said to be conscious. More info later on..

Another Report From Punch Said that "Taraba State Governor, Danbaba Suntai, on Thursday night died when a small plane he was flying crashed.
The governor was said to be the only casualty of the crash at the Yola Airport while two others survived.
This is the second crash of a civilian plane recorded this year"
