Ukrainian plane burns down completely in Leipzig airport - No one hurt




An An-12 plane burned down in the Leipzig/Halle Airport, the website aero.de reported on Friday.
According to aero.de, the fire began in the middle part of the plane after 2:00 am on Friday.
Despite the fact that some sixty people and 15 firefighting vehicles were used to extinguish the fire, the plane burned down completely.

No one was hurt in the fire.The plane was carrying live hens.  The airport was partially closed due to the incident for about an hour. The situation was normalized around 3:00 am on Friday.
Experts from the German federal Bureau of Investigations into Aviation Accidents are working to determine the cause of the fire.

According to the Russian media, the plane was owned by the company Ukraine-Aeroaliance Airline and was on a charter flight from Leipzig to Mineralnyye Vody. The fire began when the engine was being started. According to the Russian media reports, the crewmembers (seven people) were not hurt in the fire
