Police arrest pastor over death of teenager




The police in Delta State have arrested a court registrar, Pastor Jonathan Ojigbo in connection with the death of a teenage boy, Evi Samson at Ozoro, Isoko North Local Government Area. The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Celestina Kalu, who confirmed the arrest on Saturday, said,”One Samson Uwhemw of Erovie quarters, Ozoro reported at the Police Station Ozoro, that on September 28 he took his son – Evi Samson to one Pastor Jonathan Ojigbo of God Solution Ministry Ozoro, who is also a Registrar in a Magistrate Court in Delta State for prayers. 

South Africa's G@y Mosque on Fire




South Africa's controversial first g@y-friendly mosque, which also allows Christian worshippers and women to lead prayers, was damaged by a fire overnight, its founder and the police said Saturday.
 

And right now, police have opened an arson inquiry into the fire which occurred shortly after midnight and damaged the front door of the mosque in Cape Town. There were no injuries and no arrests have yet been made. The founder, Muslim academic Taj Hargey told AFP

"This is a deliberate arson attack. They used petrol and oil," he said adding close circuit television video footage showed that unidentified people had made several reconnaissance trips to the mosque two hours before the attack.
 Taj blamed his opponents for the attack which occurred on the eve of the celebration of the Muslim feast of Eid al-Adha.

Amaechi Anakwue Floors Controversial AIG Joseph Mbu in Court





A senior magistrates' court in Wuse Zone 2, Abuja has discharged African Independent Television journalist, Amaechi Anakwe, in a case of alleged character defamation brought against him by the Nigeria Police Force.

Mbu had on Thursday ordered Anakwe’s arrest after inviting him to his office. Anakwe was accused of  describing the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in Charge of Zone 7, Abuja, Mr. Joseph Mbu, as “controversial.”

ISIS beheads second Briton, threatens to kill US war veteran next



ISIS has beheaded British aid worker Alan Henning (left and inset). The militants posted a video of the horrific beheading online last night. In the video, the executioner who is described as Jihadi John because of his English accent said Alan's blood is on the hands of the British parliament.

Before he was beheaded, Alan also blamed his death on his government. He told the camera

"I am Alan Henning. Because of our Parliament's decision to attack the Islamic state I as a member of the British public will now pay the price for that decision.'
