Convicted rapist, Ekene Anoliefo, 38, who is a son of a Nigerian politician, has lost his appeal to stay in the UK and will be deported back to Nigeria after serving time for rape. Ekene was jailed for nine years for the rape of a 19 year old woman in Aberdeen, who he pretended to help before holding her captive in his car, driving her to his flat and then raping her there. Ekene had been fighting to stay in the UK since he was ordered for deportation in December 2012, claiming that deportation would breach his human rights. His lawyers argued that he had lawfully lived in the UK for four years as a student and had hoped to remain in the country after serving time but the UK government don't want to hear none of that. They said he's 'a dangerous sexual predator' and want him out of the UK.

First, let’s kill all the herbalists! ( MUST READ)
She was carrying a big coffeemaker on one hand and a bag of plastic cups on the other. From the way she walked and darted her eyes around expectantly, it became apparent that she was a peddler of some sorts – maybe an itinerant beverage brewer, or one of those new-product canvassers.
A workman in a nearby garage called her, she stopped at the front, laid down the giant flask, carefully brought out a cup from her bundle, poured out a fuming hot, dark liquid into the cup, and handed it to the customer, who gingerly took it from her and began to sip with total concentration. The lady, noticing that I was engrossed by the transaction, turned to me with a sweet smile,

Electricity distribution companies made N189bn revenue •Afam, Kaduna financial bids to be opened July 31
As of May this year, electricity distribution companies in the country realised N189bn as revenue despite poor supply to consumers. This was against the N151bn collected as total revenue by the companies in 2011.
This was contained in a document obtained by our correspondent from the Federal Ministry of Power on the achievements of the government in the sector. Speaking on the development at the Ministerial Platform in Abuja on Tuesday, the Minister of Power, Prof. Chinedu Nebo, described the revenue rise as a key achievement of his ministry.
The rise in revenue may not be unconnected with the increase in electricity tariff being collected by the distribution companies, as only last week, the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission insisted that the fixed electricity charges must increase despite erratic power supply.
