Kaduna PDP chiefs dump Tukur, join Baraje faction

Some leaders of  the Peoples Democratic Party led by a former Chairman of the PDP in Kaduna State, Alhaji Audi  Yaro-Makanma  have  joined the Abubakar Baraje faction of the party.

Yaro-Makanma  was the state party chairman between 2001  and 2007 under the Ahmed Makarfi  administration in the state.

A statement signed by  Yaro-Makanma  and a former member of the State House of Assembly(1999-2007), Mr. Gideon Morik, in Kaduna on Monday,  said  the decision to join the New PDP was to save the party from   destruction.

The Peoples Democratic Party has said that the Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola (SAN), is not the best governor in Nigeria.

The PDP Publicity Secretary, Mr. Olisa Metuh, who said this in an interview with journalists in Abuja, said there were PDP governors who had done better than Fashola.

“I disagree with the view that Fashola is the best governor in Nigeria. There are PDP governors who did better than Fashola in terms of delivering dividends of democracy to their people. Have you been to Akwa Ibom, Jigawa, Cross Rivers and some other states that are being ruled by PDP governors?” Metuh said.

When three young farmers of Gwari extraction in Niger state conspired to source for human head in their neighbourhood for money-making rituals purposes, hardly did it occur to them that the long arm of the law might soon catch up with them. The three suspects, whose names were given as Saleh Ibrahim (35), Usman Lashi Sarki (30) and Dantala Doma, a.k.a. Operator, (25) years had conspired with other people which included a Fulani man simply identified as Gajere, now at large, who had allegedly given them a dried human skull to go and grind.

32-Year-Old Cultist apprehended by Nigerian Police For 10 Murders

The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended a 32-year-old man, Adigun Muda, in connection with some murders in the Mushin and Fadeyi areas of the state. He was arrested at South Africa Visa Application centre on Billingsway, Ikeja. According to police authorities, the suspect, who is also an alleged leader of Black Axe cult, has been linked to the killings of over 10 youths between 2010 and 2013. The suspect had, in the past, been declared wanted by the police, charged for murder and remanded at Ikoyi Prison for over a year but with the help of some influential members of his community, was able to obtain a motion for bail application and was released under controversial circumstances.

8-year-old Bride Dies After having $-ex With 40-years old Hubby On Wedding Night.

An eight year old bride in Yemen died from internal injuries on her wedding night, bleeding to death after deep honeypotl tearing caused by sex with her 40 year old husband. The girl, identified only by the name Rawan, died in Hardh in the governorate of Hajjah in northwestern Yemen, according to a report issued by UPI on Sunday, Sept. 8. Activists in the region want to put an end to the practice of marrying young girls, and have called for police to arrest the girl's husband and family.

For those who haven’t heard, 43 year old ex-militant, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo (aka Tompolo) on Monday 26th August 2013 received his Bombardier SE60 LearJet. The Jet according to aviation sources cost a whopping sum of $13.3 million (N2.12 billion).

The aim of this article is not to rubbish the person of Tompolo, [what is there to rubbish anyway] but to address inter alia; the scenarios that continue to play out in favour of his ilk, institutions and systems that perpetually endeavour to make his likes overnight celebrities. I would also analyse the opportunity cost of his latest toy.

After a few years on the African continent, Nigeria is likely to appear a second nuclear power station (the first was built in South Africa). Construction of nuclear power plant could take Russia.

Already announced for the undertaking of the intergovernmental agreement, which provides for cooperation in the design, construction, operation and decommissioning of the first nuclear power plant in Nigeria. This was reported by the corporation “Rosatom”.
