Lagos State Government Donates Sum Of N4.5m to ailing actress,Ngozi Nwosu

Lagos State government today gave actress Ngozi Nwosu N4.5million to help with the treatment she needs urgently. The actress has been battling with a kidney and heart-related ailment for a while now and needed N6million for treatment abroad. She raised N2million from well meaning Nigerians a few weeks back and needed N4million extra.

Ngozi can now have the treatment she needs thanks to Governor Babatunde Fashola. God bless everyone else who donated.

Hillary Clinton Hospitalised With Blood Clot




US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been sent to the hospital with a blood clot stemming from a concussion she suffered earlier this month and is being assessed by doctors, a State Department spokesman said. “In the course of a follow-up exam today, Secretary Clinton’s doctors discovered a blood clot had formed, stemming from the concussion she sustained several weeks ago,” spokesman Philippe Reines said in a statement on Monday.

Police Rescue Lady From Ritual Killers




The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr. Victor Babayemi, in a statement on Friday, said the suspect, Ayodele Jinadu, was arrested for alleged attempt to decapitate his victim who he had lured to a hotel. The PPRO said the victim who had machete cuts all over her body was rescued and taken to the hospital where she was treated. Jinadu said the suspect confessed to the police that he was sent by a man who needed the head for ritual purposes. The statement read in part, “Operatives of the Ekiti command arrested Jinadu, 30, who lives No. 8, Eleguru Street, Ado-Ekiti, for attempting to take Kacha’s life.

Policeman Among 5 Killed as JTF, Gunmen clash




Five people including a policeman and suspected Boko Haram members died at the weekend during a clash between the military Joint Task Force (JTF) and the Islamist sect near Potiskum in Yobe State. JTF spokesman in Yobe, Lt. Eli Lazarus said the task force conducted a ‘cordon and search’ in Yindiski area in Potiskum, at about 2pm on Saturday, leading to a bloody clash between the soldiers and Boko Haram, noting that five persons were killed while 59 suspects were arrested.
