War on Terror: 400 Nigerian security personnel leave for Russia
About 400 Nigerian security personnel made up of members of the Armed Forces, Police and Department of State Services left Abuja Sunday evening for Russia where they are to undergo training as Special Forces to beef up the country’s fight against terrorism.
Vanguard gathered that the security personnel left the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in a chattered aircraft at about 5pm and were accompanied by Nigeria Security officers as well as Russian instructors who had been in the country to part of the initial selection process of the men and officers that would take part in the training.

Boko Haram: Scores Killed As Members Fight for Leadership
Reports emanating from the camp of the dreaded Islamist insurgent sect, Boko Haram, has it that there is serious infighting amongst members over who should take over the leadership position of the group with the apparent death of the leader, Abubakar Shekau, in the fierce gun battle that ensued between the terrorists and the Nigerian Military in Konduga, Borno State, with scores killed in the process.
War on B'Haram: Top Terrorist Commander Captured By Cameroonian Soldiers
According to reports, Cameroonian soldiers have captured one of the top commanders of terrorist group, Boko Haram. The insurgent leader, identified as Abakar Ali and going by the alias "Mustapher Umar" was apprehended with a large stash of weapons in his possession. A Nigerian military officer reportedly told Sahara Reporters that Ali was arrested in Kousseri, a town in northern Cameroon.
