Police detectives attached to the anti-robbery squad of the Lagos State Police Command, western Nigeria, have arrested a woman for allegedly stealing a gold chain worth N650,000, and hiding it in her private part.

P.M.NEWS learnt from police sources at SARS that the woman, identified as Tessy Emovon, 26, allegedly stole the chain from her boyfriend, Cosmas Odijie, 26, last Sunday in a hotel located at Ipodo Market, off Obafemi Awolowo Way, Ikeja, after giving him a sleeping drug.

R.I.P: Fast and Furious actor, Paul Walker dies



Actor Paul Walker, best noted for his role in the Hollywood film franchise Fast and Furious, has been killed in an automobile crash. The smash took place in Santa Clarita, just north of Los Angeles while he was on his way to a charity event.  Walker was a passenger in a Porsche that lost control and hit either a light post or tree before bursting into flames. News of the fatal crash was reported by US website TMZ.
The actor's death was later confirmed on his Facebook page.

Metro-North passenger train derails in NYC, Falls Into River.



A Metro-North passenger train has derailed in the Bronx area of New York City, with a number of injuries being reported. Several cars plunged into the river, authorities said.

Reports are emerging that 30 people have been injured following the derailment in the Bronx, but this information has not yet been confirmed. A passenger who was on the train, Frank Tatulli, told Eyewitness News he takes the train every Sunday morning, and that it was travelling at a higher rate of speed than it normally does.

East Africa Integration, A welcome development: 5 Five East African countries agree to common currency.




The five member of the East African Community (EAC) economic group have agreed to adopt a single currency.

 The leaders of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi signed a protocol in the Ugandan capital Kampala on Saturday for the adoption of a common currency in 10 years.
"We now have the framework required to unlock the promise of integration," Kenyan President and EAC head Uhuru Kenyatta said in a statement.
