Why we oppose use of condom for family planning - Catholic Church

The Catholic church says it opposes artificial family planning techniques, because it encourages bastardisation of sexual activities by young people and “impedes normal procreation.”
The Secretary-General of the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, Rev. Fr. Ralph Madu, made this clarification in a response to an enquiry by The Punch on Sunday.
He said, “The Catholic Church believes that modern means, including the use of condoms is morally bad because it impedes normal procreation. You can meet with your wife when you do not want children and those periods when the woman is not fertile instead of having to destroy the sperm and all other forms of artificial prevention.
“They are very artificial means and they do not really give the moral lesson that borders around the use of the sexual organs.

See How Nigerian Celebrities Are Killing Themselves

Apparently basking in the euphoria of a new status, many Nigerians in showbiz throw caution in the wind in the process of “living it up”.
These days, hardly does a month end without news of someone in Nollywood or the Music industry, getting involved in car accident or public brawl...
This comes as no surprise, especially to those who are in the know of the background of today’s stars. Most of them, even in wildest dreams, never thought they would attain their current standing in the society. In fact, not only do they talk about the rise to fame in interviews, they also author books and record songs on it.

US and UK intelligence regarded G20 leaders as potential terrorists

While the U.S. government keeps on insisting that the surveillance program was a limited one and designed to protect the United States and other countries from terrorist and other threats, new leaks reveal that the U.S. and U.K. intelligence services eavesdropped on world leaders at conferences in London in 2009. This included setting up fake internet cafés in order to intercept foreign delegates' emails as well as tapping the phones. The eavesdropping program was not limited to potential adversaries, but included the U.S. and U.K.'s allies as well.

A U.S. government paper released on Sunday states that among millions of phone and email records collected by the National Security Agency (NSA) in 2012, only fewer than 300 phone numbers were really searched in order to obtain detailed information.
