Phony lawyer apprehended in Lagos





30 year old Daniel Ikhidenor Ikhuoria (pictured above) from Ekpoma Edo State, who has been practicing legislation illegally since 2011 has been apprehended by law enforcement mounted on the Igbosere high court Lagos Island, PM Media reports
The suspected fake lawyer was arrested when he came in as a lawyer for a court hearing. His moves were suspected by an orderly attached to the Appeal Court, DCR Office, who got him arrested.

Ex-Nigerian Olympian athlete' Ambrose Monye' jailed for life in South Africa.




Former Nigerian Olympic athlete, Ambrose Monye (pictured left), has been sentenced to life in prison in South Africa for the murder of 26 year old Channelle Henning (pictured right).

Monye, who participated in the Souelle Olympic game in 1988, is accused of killing Henning as she drove out after dropping her young son at the Morning Star Montessori Preschool in Faere Glen, East Pretoria South Africa on the 8th of November 2011. He and another accomplice, Andre Gouws, who was also sentenced to life in prison, were contracted to kill the woman by her estranged husband.

After denying their involvement in the shooting death for almost two years, the men finally confessed to being involved in the gruesome murder.

Fred Ajudua sent to Kirikiri Prison for ₦1.3billion fraud



Fred Ajudua has been remanded in Kirikiri Prison for allegedly defrauding former Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Ishaya Bamaiyi (retd.), of about $8.395m (about N1.3 billion).  Justice Oluwatoyin Ipaye ordered on Wednesday that he should be remanded in prisons custody following a fresh 13-count charge of fraud brought against him by EFCC.

The EFCC in the fresh charges dated 14 October, 2013, alleged that Ajudua, along with others still at large, defrauded Gen. Bamaiyi of $8.387m between November 2004 and June 2005 while in prison.

Ajudua is the only defendant in the fresh charges as others who allegedly committed the offences along with him are said to be at large.

5 FUTO Cultists nabbed In Imo. See What They Were Caught With



The Imo state Police Command has paraded five students of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, FUTO, suspected to be members of the Black Axe confraternity.  The suspected student cultists, who were arrested by the Anti-cult Squad of the Imo State Police Command, include Echekwu (24), Desmond(23), Emmanuel (23), Gerald (24) and Camillus (20)

The state Commissioner of Police, MuhammedMusa Kastina, told newsmen that the suspected cultists were arrested on January 31, 2014 in Umuelem Ihiagwa community in Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State while allegedly carrying out the initiation of new members.

Katsina disclosed that items recovered from the suspects included one black school bag containing a black beret and an axe insignia, a wallet, student ID card, face towel, two masks, Glo Sim cards and N100, among others.

Niger Delta Militants Get More Than The Entire Military, Police In 2014 Budget




A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Bukola Saraki, has faulted several aspects of the 2014 Appropriation Bill, saying that the document failed to give priority to critical sectors and a blueprint for fiscal recklessness and leakages in government expenditure.

Of particular concern is the misplacement of prorities demonstrated in the allocation of N54bn to Niger Delta Militants under the Presidential Amnesty Programme while the Military and Police got just N46bn in capital allocations.
