Open Letter to President Jonathan
I hope this letter reaches you in the best position of health and wellbeing, and I do hope you will find the time to go through the content of this letter. I feel duty bound as an ordinary citizen of Nigeria to draw your attention to some of the critical decisions that your government has taken. These decisions are very critical and could determine the stability of our country.
I am aware that you have advisors who have the responsibility to guide you in taking decisions, because as the leader of the country you will have to rely on the expertise of these advisors before you take a final position on issues. But I am also aware that a lot of government appointees are more interested in advancing their personal interest rather than guiding the president in the right direction.

27 People Dead, Mostly Children At An Elementary School
More than two dozen people, mostly elementary school children, were shot and killed at a Newtown, Connecticut, elementary school this morning, federal and state sources tell ABC News.
The massacre involved two gunmen at a Connecticut school this morning, prompting the town of Newtown to lock down all of its schools and draw SWAT teams to the school, authorities said today.
State Police confirm that one shooter is dead. A second gunman is apparently at large. Car-to-car searches are underway. It's unclear how many people have been shot, but 25 people, mostly children are dead, multiple federal and state sources tell ABC News. That number could rise, officials said.
It is the worst shooting in a U.S. elementary school in recent memory.
The shooting comes just three days after masked gunman Jacob Roberts opened fire in a busy Portland, Ore., mall killing two before turning the gun on himself.
Today's shooting occurred at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, about 12 miles east of Danbury.
State Police received the first 911 call at 9:41a.m. and immediately began sending emergency units from the western part of the state. Initial 911 calls stated that multiple students were trapped in a classroom, possibly with a gunman, according to a Connecticut State Police source
Nurse Killed Baby By Botching Circumcision
A nurse has been found guilty of manslaughter after causing a baby's death by botching his circumcision.
Grace Adeleye, 67, carried out the procedure on four-week-old Goodluck Caubergs at an address in Chadderton, Oldham, in April 2010. The boy bled to death before he could reach hospital the following day. Adeleye was found guilty of manslaughter by gross negligence at Manchester Crown Court.
The nurse, who denied the charge, had told the jury she had done "more than 1,000" circumcision operations without incident. The court heard that Adeleye and Goodluck's parents were from Nigeria, where the circumcision of newborns is the tradition for Christian families. Adeleye, of Sarnia Court, Salford, was paid £100 to do the operation.
The jury was told that she carried out the procedure using a pair of scissors, forceps and olive oil and without anaesthetic. She had claimed there had been "no problem" when she left the infant and that his parents had been pleased with the operation.

Babatunde Omidina, alias Baba Suwe was in the news for the wrong reason last year following his arrest and detention by officers of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency(NDLEA) on the assumption that he was in possession of hard drugs believed to be cocaine. For more than one month he was subjected to public humiliation and at the end of it all, the court vindicated him, and ordered that he be paid the sum of N25 million for his unlawful detention.
However, since the court handed down the verdict, the actor has never known peace in the hands of street beggars and Area boys popularly known as Agberos who would never stop trailing him and asking for alms. He shares his ordeal with Showtime Celebrity. He also dismissed insinuation that he is currently shooting a film to document his NDLEA ordeal. Excerpt:

At this point, the anti-fat propaganda has died and almost everybody understands by now that eating fat doesn't necessarily make you fat. In fact, it's absolutely imperative to get enough healthy fats in your diet to keep your hormones balanced, blood sugar under control, and prevent cravings. Here are 7 examples of "fatty" foods that can actually HELP you to get lean...
However, I would contend that dark chocolate can actually HELP you to burn off more body fat if you're the type of person that has a sweet tooth and likes to eat a lot of desserts. In this case, just 1 or 2 small squares of dark chocolate can many times satisfy your sweet tooth for only 30 or 40 calories as opposed to 500 calories for a piece of chocolate cake or a piece of pie.
Also some brands of dark chocolate that are in the mid 70's in % cacao content or higher, can have a fairly high ratio of fiber content (I've seen some brands have 5 grams of fiber out of 15 grams of total carbs per serving), and relatively low sugar content compared to the amount of healthy fats. In fact, that's one of the "tricks" I use to select a good quality chocolate... I look for more total fat than total carbs (or about the same number of grams of each).

Exercise is meant to help you, right?
Unfortunately, there are certain “exercises” in the gym that cause more harm than good. I’d like to take a strong look at the 7 most prevalent injury-causing exercises in most gyms. The worst part is that these exercises are pretty much useless when it comes to building strength or losing fat. There really isn’t much of a point in doing them, whatsoever, and yet they can destroy our results.
