A Man threatens BRT boss with two large vipers!!
There was anxiety at the Ketu Bus Rapid Transit depot in Lagos State after a man brought two big snakes to the office of the depot chairman, Chief Sunday Yusuf.
We learnt that the man, Sunday Ogbaide, who was later arrested by the Ketu Police Division, said he was sent by a yet-to-be identified person to sell the snakes to the BRT boss.
Yusuf told PUNCH Metro that no one could explain how the suspect gained entrance into the depot.

Young Shall Grow Motor Boss Attacked In Festac, Driver & escort Killed
The CEO of The Young Shall Grow Motors, Chief Vincent Obianodo, was attacked by suspected assassins on Tuesday night August 27th on 22 Road in Festac Town, Lagos, killing his driver and police escort. He narrowly escaped death. The multimillionaire businessman was returning home from work on Tuesday night when an SUV double-crossed his vehicle in a lonely area, and some armed men opened fire on Chief Obianodo's car. His orderly who attempted to fire back was killed, his driver who was trying to escape was also killed while Chief Obianodo was shot in the arm.

Guard On Rescue Mission Mistakenly Kills Boss
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 30-year-old security guard, Segun Salami, for allegedly killing his boss, Alhaji Taiyewo Awolesi, in Ewuowa, Ikorodu area of the state.
The police said the suspect was on his way to rescue Awolesi, who was being harassed by touts in the area, when he shot him in error.

Security Guard Nabbed For Robbing His Boss
A security guard attached to a house at Wuse, Abuja, has been arrested by men of the FCT police command for allegedly conniving with a man (now at large) to steal two cars belonging to his master.
The vehicles allegedly stolen are Toyota Corolla with registration number RSH 60 AH and a Toyota Sienna car with registration number RBC 300 AL.
Deputy Superintendent Hyelhira Altine Daniel, the FCT Police spokesperson said the suspect and his accomplice planned to steal the cars when his master travels.

Court orders arrest of EFCC Boss, Lamorde
ABUJA — Justice Peter Kekemeke of an Abuja High Court has ordered the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar to arrest the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr Ibrahim Lamorde, for disobeying a valid court order. Justice Kekemeke directed that the EFCC boss and an operative of the anti-graft agency, Mr Friday Ebelo, should be apprehended and kept in prison custody within the next two weeks, except they apologize to a lawyer whose fundamental human rights were allegedly violated by the commission.
Meantime, EFCC, yesterday, vowed to appeal the ruling.

Reacting to the order, spokesman of the commission, Mr Wilson Uwujaren, who acknowledged that a copy of the order was served on the agency, said EFCC has perfected plans to get it vacated.
The court had on March 8 and December 5, 2012, ordered Lamorde to release the call-to-bar certificate of one Mr Innocent Onwu, apologize to him through a national newspaper as well as pay him N50, 000 as compensation.

4-year-old boy killed by falling mirror in Hugo Boss shop in Great Britain (SAD)
The child was in the Hugo Boss shop at the Bicester Outlet shopping village in Pingle Drive on Tuesday when it is believed part of a shop fitting fell on him causing serious head injuries.
He was taken to the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford where he died in the early hours of this morning, Thames Valley police said.
Investigating officer Detective Inspector Steve Duffy said: "Our thoughts are with the family at this time.
In a statement, Hugo Boss said: "At around 8.30pm on June 4th, a four-year-old child was injured by a mirror falling on him. The child suffered serious injuries and was treated at hospital where this morning he passed away.

Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Dr Ade Abolurin has charged officers and men of the corps to shun corruption, disclosing how he recently turned down an offer of over N10 million from a group which wanted to supply laptops to the corps.
Dr Abolurin who spoke yesterday at the National Cooperative Summit of the Corps in Abuja also disclosed how a team of private developers attempted to induce him financially to have him approve their proposal for a mass housing scheme for the NSCDC.
“Some people came and met me and said they wanted to supply us laptops and I said if the laptops would be highly affordable, then I will not have any problem with their proposal.

Movida nightclub boss Akeem Sodeinde's health worsens
The popular Lagos club owner and businessman has been battling acute diabetes for a while now. He went to India sometime last year for treatment and was getting better but according to people close to him, he was hit by another crisis that has kept him out of the public for months now. Akeem no longer runs his popular club, Movida. His younger brother manages it for now.
He's retired to his Oniru Estate home and hardly ever comes out these days. People who have seen him recently said he's lost a lot of wight and he receives treatment weekly from a hospital in Victoria Island. Akeem talked about his illness sometime last year:

Less than 24 hours after an Abuja High Court sentenced Pension Thief John Yakubu Yusuf to two years in prison for admitting to stealing around N2 billion, an Ikare Magistrate Court in Ondo State has sentenced another man to three years in prison for stealing a telephone handset worth N17, 000.
The Abuja court had on Monday sentenced the former director of the Police Pension Board, John Yakubu Yusuf, to two-year imprisonment.

LAGOS — The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has sanctioned Access Bank Plc for violating the Banks and Other Financial Institutions Act, BOFIA, 1991 in 2011. This came as Dr Maduka Cosmas has retired from Access Bank’s Board of Directors.
LAGOS — The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has sanctioned Access Bank Plc for violating the Banks and Other Financial Institutions Act, BOFIA, 1991 in 2011. This came as Dr Maduka Cosmas has retired from Access Bank’s Board of Directors.
The apex bank, in the sanction, fined Access Bank N3 million for violating its rules and regulations on granting of loans.
However, CBN told Vanguard, yesterday, that the issue at stake is not new. The CBN official said the said sanction was based on the examination the CBN carried out on the bank on September 30, 2011.

R.I.P: Chupknuckle boss, Obehi 'Biggie Smallz' Omokhegbe, dies
The CEO of Chup Knuckle Entertainment and photographer died yesterday after a brief illness. Friends say he complained of stomach pain, he started vomiting and then fainted. He was rushed to University of Benin Teaching Hospital where he died yesterday afternoon. He left behind a wife, three kids, the youngest a four month old and his mum. May his soul rest in peace...Amin

“Some Of Us Are Corrupt” – Outgoing Niger Delta JTF Boss Confess
The outgoing Commander of the Joint Task Force (JTF) operating in the Niger Delta, Major General Johnson Ochoga, on Friday admitted that some of its personnels were corrupt.He said this in PortHarcourt at a brief ceremony, ushering in the new Commander of the outfit, Major General Bata Debiro. Ochoga warned that any soldier caught in any form of corrupt act would be dealt with accordingly.He noted that the task force under him recorded major victories in the fight against oil theft and illegal oil bunkering in the region despite some noticeable shortcomings.

Housemaid invites boyfriend to rob boss, feigns kidnap
The police in Lagos State have arrested a 27-year-old housemaid, Mariam Acheme, and four others for allegedly robbing the housemaid’s boss.
According to police authorities, the housemaid, invited her boyfriend, Dansu Akokran, and another person at large to rob her boss and also stage her own kidnap. The Police Public Relations Officer of the state command, Ngozi Braide, said, “On November 26, 2012, the housemaid invited her boyfriend to her boss’ house when the madam had gone out. On getting to the house, the boyfriend and another person ransacked the entire house.
