R.I.P: Nollywood Actor Kicked The Bucket After Brief Illness



Nollywood actor, Ray Daniels Okeugo died on October 25, 2013, Friday, after having a brief illness. It has been reported by 24/7 Nigeria News Update. The type of the sickness that took the actor away wasn't made known to us as at press time.

Ray Daniels Okeugo starred a number of soap operas and home videos before taking into photography.
Late Okeugo was a founding member of the Invisible Borders Trans-African Photographers and was strongly involved  in the organisation's activities.

R.I.P: Entrepreneur Killed For Refusing To Settle Area Boys



A businessman, Charles Ugwu, has been killed in the Ajegunle area of Lagos, over his refusal to settle some street urchins, popularly known as area boys.

The incident was said to have occurred at Uzor Street, Ajegunle, on September 24 2013. A tyre dealer, Ugwu was said to have been accosted by two area boys, identified as Saturday and Chimezie, while offloading goods from a vehicle to his shop.

R.I.P: Professor Slumps And Dies While Watching Nigeria-Ethiopia Game



Michael Filani of the Department of Geography, University of Ibadan, passed away on Sunday, October 13, while watching the Nigeria/Ethiopia World Cup qualifying match.  The Ikole Ekiti-born professor slumped and died while watching the match at his Oluyole Extension home in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital. With over 35 years of experience in teaching and research, his areas of emphasis include transport planning and development; economic geography; and regional development planning. He served in several capacities both within and away from University of Ibadan. He wrote and published more than 90 articles, technical and consultancy reports on transport, regional development and planning, particularly in Nigeria. His death was received with shock by the university community yesterday. Lots of people said he was agile and radiant at his last public outing

The Nollywood actor who is best know for a particular role has just lost his sweet mother.he announced the sad news on facebook this morning.take heart Tony,God is on the throne!

His exact words are..
''I lost my dearest mum,5 minutes to midnight, on the 1st of October, 2013. Adieu Mum. Rest in perfect peace in d bosom of d Lord. U wer d greatest. We mis u dearly. God will keep u safe & warm in His bosom. Wit a heavy heart, I say, ADIEU, to d best mum ever.''

Only Child of Tasty Fried Chicken boss Olubunmi Adedayo dies - R.I.P



 The only real child of Tastee Fried Chicken boss Mrs Olayinka Adedayo, Olubunmi Adedayo has passed away. Bunmi, who until his death was the executive director of TFC, died yesterday September 24th in the US. Heard he fell ill within Nigeria and was flown to the US for treatment where he died.  He's survived by his parents, wife and two kids. 
May his soul rest in peace....

R.I.P: Composer of Nigeria's National Anthem, Benedict Odiase, Dies.



The composer of  Nigeria's National Anthem, Pa Benedict Odiase has passed on. Mr Odiase died last night in his sleep. He composed Arise O Compatriots” in May 1978. Pa Odiase retired in 1992 as a Deputy Commissioner of Police after being the Director of Music with the Nigeria Police Band.

R.I.P : Oba of Saki dies at The Age Of 60



The Okere of Saki, Oba Kelani Olatoyese, Olamire I, yesterday joined his ancestors. Oba Olatoyese, aged 60 years, reportedly passed on at 2am after a brief illness. Mr. Afeez Feyintola, spokesman to the permanent chairman of Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs and the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, disclosed this to newsmen during a brief chat.
He recalled that Oba Olatoyese was presented with his staff of office on April 9, 2012 Oyo State governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, six years after he ascended the throne of his forefathers. The late monarch, was a devout Muslim who had strong links with northern emirs, a factor that earned him the name Shehu.
His remains were interred yesterday evening in accordance with Islamic practice.
