APC: Political Mistake in the 2015 presidential election.
"The two major political parties in Nigeria today, the PDP and the APC are not built on any known political ideologies, but on personalities, religions, ethnicity and geopolitical zones where they derive their political support from. The worst electoral mistake that the opposition party, the APC in Nigeria will be making in the 2015 presidential election in that country is to go ahead and pick any of these Northern Nigerian APC governors or the former vice-president of Nigeria, Abubakar Atiku as its presidential candidate against Jonathan Goodluck. General Muhammadu Buhari should be picked by the APC if this politician is still personally interested in running for that office for the fourth time and if his physical health is still very good for the rigor of the cross-country campaigns and the intellectual challenges of the office of the President of Nigeria.

Mugabe runs for election in Zimbabwe, again
You don't rule a country especially one as volatile as Zimbabwe for 33 years without knowing a thing or two about seeing off rivals reports the AFP.
Since taking up the reins of a newly independent Zimbabwe in 1980, Mugabe has for three decades deftly brushed aside opponents and, with power consolidated, kept subordinates in their place.

Why we annuled June 12 Presidential election — General Ibrahim Babangida
By Jide Ajani
There are many ‘ifs’ 20 years after the annulment of the June 12, 1993presidential election – that is still considered Nigeria’s freest and fairest. If then military president, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, had known that the decision to annul the election would lead to the plethora of crises that Nigeria is yet to come over, he may not have acted in that manner. Indeed if he had known that the electoral process today would be much worse and replete with serial instances of the reasons he gave for the annulment, he may not have done so.

Video: Governor Akpabio admits rigging senatorial primary election
Akwa Ibom governor Godswill Akpabio confessed to manipulating the result of a PDP senatorial primary election in the state in 2007 by replacing the winner with his own candidate. The governor fearlessly said this on live TV. Akpabio said:
“The people of Ikono and Ini from 1960 have never produced a Senator. I used my own hand to strike out the name of the person who has won before, and I said it is important for me to give that region a Senator in 2007, and I produced Senator Aloysius Etuk for you; that’s where he comes from.”
Unbelievable! Watch the video above. But shouldn't this call for a probe...?

Drama At Election Petition Tribunal As Two Individuals Claim Party Chairmanship
It was drama of some sorts at the Ondo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal on Tuesday when two persons each claimed to be the state chairman of Accord Party (AP). They were both subsequently walked out of the courtroom.
The development, however, made the Justice Andovar Kaka’an-led three-member team to reserve further action on the petition of the party until it was able to settle the chairmanship issue. The AP had, in its petition, accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of disenfranchising its candidate, Mr Olawale Ojo, from participating in the October 20 governorship poll.
