Africa plans emergency force, but can it deliver?

NAIROBI  (AFP)

The African Union’s “African Standby Brigade”, meant to intervene swiftly in regional crises, has made little headway since preparations for a proposed force of 32,500 troops and civilians drawn from the continent’s five regions started a decade ago.
Only two of five regional sections are close to becoming operational.
A new emergency force announced this week is intended to bridge the gap pending the full coming into operation of that brigade, AU security chief Ramtane Lamamra said at the organisation’s headquarters in the Ethiopian capital.

6 Ways To Tell If A Woman Does Not Want To Sléep With You

The saying about s-éx and women goes something like this: A woman knows within 5 minutes of meeting a man whether or not she would ever have s-éx with him. Now the approximation of time might not be an exact five minutes but generally speaking, women do have an inclinatión after a short time as to whether or not the man in front of them is someone they would ever give a taste of the honey pot. Here are a few clues to assist you in distinguishing that the woman you are dating does not desire you.
1. She never touchés you or initiatés afféction
If you have been dating this woman for several months let’s say, and she never once has initiatéd any afféction of any kind then brother leave the condóms at home. You are not one of the privileged. When a woman is attracted to you on any level then after some time she will not be able to contain it. It will slip out in spurts of her gently rubbing your face, putting her hand on your knee, or even boldly grabbing your hand and placing it on her body in some way. She will initiaté some form of physical contact in some regard if she has even ever thought of letting you get close to the honey pot.

After the Nigerian Civil War, Why is the State Allergic to the Name Biafra?

The month of May marks the anniversary of the declaration of independence by Eastern Nigerians from Nigeria, and called their new born nation, Biafra.
Easterners did so following the obvious state-sponsored murder of the people of the East, as they were all branded Igbo: Ijaw, Ibibio, Efik, Ogoja, others. By the count of that period, the population of Nigeria was 60 million and 50,000 Igbo were killed in cold blood.
For those who were alive at this time, it was blood-chilling, inhuman, barbaric, reprobate and harrowing, never to be forgotten period in the life of this fumbling and wobbling country still held together not by common good and mutual love but by a strange and uncommon phenomenon, nameless, but akin to uncivilization. Also unforgettable because it marks the beginning of a shadow Nigeria.
