Tragedy: "Armed robbers went to my house in Jos and attacked my mother" - Super Eagles Striker Ahmed Musa



Armed robbers raided the home of Super Eagles star forward Ahmed Musa in the Nigerian north central town of Jos on Wednesday night.  The CSKA Moscow forward told Naijanews.com.ng that the gunmen numbering about 10 stormed his house close to the Plateau State Government House in the posh neighborhood of Rayfield few minutes past 11 in the night and carted away cash and valuables.

Heartless: Father Chains His Blind Son In A Cave (PHOTOS)



 A father has told how he’s turned his handicapped son into a real life caveman – chaining him unclad to a rock face in central China.  Astonishing pictures of tragic Cheng Xiangtao, 26 – born blind and mentally disabled – chained by his ankle to his cave in remote Chengling village, Henan province, have outraged the country.

Dad Cheng Yuanchao, 70, abandoned his son after losing his home and going to live with his daughters.
‘I have no home of my own now and nowhere to house my son. This is the best I can do. I visit him three times a day with food and water so he is never hungry of thirsty.

Federal government of Nigeria approves 5-year jail term and N200, 000 fine for exam cheats



The minister of Education, Prof Ruqayyat Rufai, announced yesterday that students caught from now on cheating during exams will face a five year jail term or N200,000 fine or both.

Councillorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Shawo South West ward in Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State, Mr. Afolabi Olawole, has rejected the victory attributed to him following the recent rerun election held in the local government last Saturday.
He was declared the winner of the ward election by the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission in Saturday’s rerun election.
He stunned his party, the PDP, and the public, when he declared that he did not win in the election.

At the inception of President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration in 2011, Nigeria’s first minority president, the man whom much hope had been invested to clean the Aegean Stable shocked the entire nation. It was in the answer he gave to what had seemed to be an innocuous question that had left Nigerian bewildered. Jonathan had been asked why he had not deemed it fit to set a personal example in transparency by declaring his assets. The interviewer sought to know why he had not fulfilled the constitutional obligation. He wanted the President to tell Nigerians when he would submit his assets to public scrutiny as an example to other public officials.

Pastor charged over demise of teen after ‘special' deliverance from witchcraft



The pastor tied two ‘witch’ teenagers for three days during the ‘deliverance’. The police in Abuja on Wednesday filed a criminal suit against Isaiah Okoye, the Chief Overseer of the Sabbath Church in Dape Village, Life Camp, Abuja, for alleged culpable homicide. The police also listed Ngozi Ogbonna, a member of the church, in the suit.

A suspected drug addict goes berserk, stabbing 6 people.



Nigerian Drug Addict Ran Mad, Stabbed 6 People In Jigawa State
One of the victims, a 40-year old man, died from the injuries he sustained during the attack.
The incident happened in the Ringim Local Government Area of Jigawa. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) learnt that the incident which occurred in the Ausar Quarters of Ringim town also left five people injured.
The victim was identified as Magaji Ringim, as a staff of the School of Legal Studies in Ringim.
Bala Shehu, a resident of the area, told NAN the suspected killer, popularly known as “AKT”, had been well known as a thug in the area.

Chairman of President Jonathan's PDP Bamanga Tukur threatens Atiku's PDP with suspension



You all  know there are two PDP factions now therefore to tell apart we've to call one - President Jonathan's PDP and the one which broke away last weekend - former VP Atiku Abubakar's PDP. So the chairman of President Jonathan's PDP Bamanga Tukur today held a press conference in Abuja where he threatened members of Atiku's PDP with suspension, called them impostors and said the police should regard them as such. heheh. 2015 will soon be interesting.
