Bloomberg plays hoax against Obama
A bizarre Bloomberg story, citing what was represented to be one of the biggest intelligence leaks in US history, hit during the G8 conference and the critical meetings between US President Obama and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.
The purpose of the story by Bloomberg News, now exposed as a hoax, was to hamstring and humiliate President Obama in his meetings with Putin and show American weakness and indecision on Syria, not just that but demonstrate American recklessness and disregard for international law.

Brzezinski: Saudi Arabia, Qatar, their western allies orchestrated Syria crisis - former US national security adviser
The former US national security adviser says the ongoing crisis in Syria has been orchestrated by Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and their western allies.
“In late 2011 there are outbreaks in Syria produced by a drought and abetted by two well-known autocracies in the Middle East: Qatar and Saudi Arabia,” Zbigniew Brzezinski said in an interview withThe National Interest on June 24.
He added that US President Barack Obama also supported the unrest in Syria and suddenly announced that President Bashar al-Assad “has to go -- without, apparently, any real preparation for making that happen.”
“Then in the spring of 2012, the election year here, the CIA under General Petraeus, according to The New York Times of March 24th of this year, a very revealing article, mounts a large-scale effort to assist the Qataris and the Saudis and link them somehow with the Turks in that effort,” said Brzezinski, who was former White House national security adviser under Jimmy Carter and now a counselor and trustee at the Center for Strategic and International Studies and a senior research professor at the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University.

£3000 Visa Bond: UK Will Be The Bigger Loser - Abike Dabiri
The Chairperson, House of Representatives Committee on Diaspora, Abike Dabiri-Erewa has claimed that the United Kingdom will pay dearly if its conservative government goes ahead with the planned 3,000 Pounds visa bond that will be required by some travelers from Nigeria.
Mrs Dabiri-Erewa while speaking as a guest on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily demanded that a policy of reciprocity by the federal government on all British travelers to Nigeria, adding that they should “even be made to pay a lot more.”
According to the lawmaker, some level of politics is involved in this policy as she claimed the ruling Tory party which seeks re-election, might be using the immigration policy to drive up sentiments ahead of the polls to help, “but it’s probably going to hurt them more” she warned.

22 million sign anti-Morsi petition - Egypt opposition
More than 22 million people have signed a petition in Egypt demanding the departure of Islamist President Mohamed Morsi and a snap election, the opposition Tamarod (Arabic for rebellion) group said on Saturday.
"Our petition has gathered 22,134,465 signatures," Tamarod spokesman Mahmud Badr told journalists on the eve of Sunday's first anniversary of Morsi's inauguration when it has called for nationwide protests.
This figure is higher than the number of people who voted for Morsi in last year's presidential election -- 13.23 million, or 51.7 percent of the ballots cast.
Previously, Tamarod said 15 million people in Egypt had signed the petition demanding that the president step aside.

Local security officials say the American was stabbed to death in Egypt's second city of Alexandria.
The United States is warning its citizens against travels to Egypt and has also asked its non-emergency diplomatic staff to leave the volatile country.

Obama arrives in Pretoria, protesters burn US flags
Hundreds of people have held a demonstration in the South African executive capital Pretoria to protest against Washington’s “oppressive” policies on the eve of a visit by US President Barack Obama to the African country.
On Friday, about 1,000 trade unionists, Muslim activists and South African Communist Party members gathered just few blocks away from the Medi-Clinic Heart Hospital in Pretoria where Nelson Mandela is critically ill.
The protesters marched towards the US Embassy, shouting slogans denouncing Obama’s foreign policy as "arrogant and oppressive". They also burnt US flags.

U.S. NSA & British GCHQ: George Galloway warns viewers against UK-US spy operations
British MP and founder of the Respect party George Galloway has warned public viewers against the illegal UK-US spy operations.
On Press TV’s weekly political program Comment, Galloway informed viewers that many of them are unaware of their emails, phones and text messages being bugged, adding that even those who don’t express any political views could be snooped by the government agencies.
“The National Security Agency (NSA) in the US and the British security service based at the GCHQ in Cheltenham have a record of everything, and I mean everything that you have ever looked at, ever searched for, ever read on the internet”, Galloway said.
He then compared the UK and United states’ illegal spy operations to having a state television camera in every room of people’s homes, cars and offices.

South African police fire stun grenades at anti-Obama protesters
Police fired stun grenades on Saturday at hundreds of protesters rallying against President Barack Obama's visit to South Africa, an AFP correspondent said.
At least three bangs were heard as police tried to move the demonstrators away from a university campus where Obama is expected to hold a town hall event later in the day.

Fitch downgrades BRICS: An attempt to discredit the emerging markets and scare investors away from BRICS countries.
Firtch has cut its outlook on all BRICS countries and predicts a downturn for the emerging economies. At once, the agency's analysts feel that American and European economies have recovered from recession and will become growing.
In a study note sent to the press, Fitch explained the rationale behind the outlook cut:
“Many of the biggest emerging markets are experiencing strains from spillovers from advanced economies and China, difficult policy tradeoffs, a declining impact from credit growth and structural bottlenecks.”
There are several problems with this forecast.
First and foremost, Fitch has lost its credibility following a big amount of securities rated “triple A” by this agency went to zero throughout the financial crisis. Therefore, any rating distributed by Fitch should be taken with a grain of salt.

Newsonline-- The Federal Government of Nigeria on Friday defended the
recent execution of four convicts in Edo State, the first since 2006,
and indicated that it would not be apologetic on its stance on same s-ex
marriage. Minister
of Foreign Affairs, Olugbenga Ashiru said at a Consultative Forum on
the forthcoming review of human rights in Nigeria under the UN Universal
Period Review (UPR) in Abuja, that executions in Edo would likely come
up when the country appears before the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva
in October for a periodic review of its human rights.
Condemnations
had trailed the June 24 execution of four convicts in Edo State as the
UK Government, UN and the EU High Representative, Catherine Ashton among
others said it negated recent commitment repeatedly made by Nigerian
officials to maintain the de facto moratorium on executions. However,
Ashiru told journalists that the execution would not act as an
impediment to “’tremendous improvements” by government on human rights
issues in the country, saying those accusing Nigeria of human rights
violations should remember that the criminal code was inherited from the
‘colonial powers. He
noted that in Nigeria, State Governments are autonomous and for the
execution in Edo, Gov. Adams Oshiomole acted within the confines of the
law.
