NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart Hits, Kills Race Car Driver (Graphic Video)



A 20-year-old American race car driver has died after being struck by the car of three-time Nascar champion Tony Stewart during a local sprint race in New York. According to eyewitnesses, Stewart and Kevin Ward Jr, 20, had collided on a previous lap of the dirt track race on Saturday. Ward then climbed out of his car to show his displeasure and was on track confronting Stewart when he was suddenly struck and thrown into the air by Stewart's car.

Fresh violence hits Zamfara, 3 people beheaded as Ag. Gov. escapes death



The acting governor of Zamfara State, who is also the speaker of the state House of Assembly, Honourable Sanusi Garba Rikiji, escaped death by the whiskers at the Tudun Kuya in Birnin Magaji Local Government Area of the state on Friday, following a mob attack on his convoy by Hausa youths said to be protesting compensation paid to families of three Fulani youths killed by vigilance groups in the village.

Train Hits Couple Having $-ex On Its Tracks - Woman Killed, Man Loses Both Legs.



A thrill-seeking Ukrainian couple met a tragic end after they stopped on their way home to made love on a train tracks and were hit by a train.  According to Ukrainian Interior Ministry, which announced the Saturday morning accident,  the couple 'wanted to experience an extreme sensation near the railroad tracks.

6.9 quake hits Japan




A strong earthquake struck wide areas of north-eastern and eastern Japan on Wednesday, the Meteorological Agency said. No tsunami warning was issued and there were no immediate reports of injuries or damage. The agency said the magnitude-6.9 quake struck at 9:19 am (GMT 0019), and was centred off Torishima, 600 kilometres south of Tokyo, at a depth of 400 kilometres. Tokyo Electric Power Co said there were no abnormalities at its damaged Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station.

Earthquake hits China, 20 people Dead, almost 300 injured after




At least 20 people have been killed and almost 300 injured after a 5.9 magnitude earthquake hit the northwest central Gansu province of China. The death toll is expected to rise as authorities continue the search for possible victims.

All the casualties so far have been confirmed in Gansu province, according to the local government.
The quake hit near the city of Dingxi in Gansu province, one of the least populated in the whole country. However, the Dingxi area has a great concentration of farms and towns. The earthquake was also felt in neighboring cities of Longnan, Tianshui, and the provincial capital city of Lanzhou.

Natural Disaster: 6.7 earthquake hits Christmas Island



A magnitude 6.7 quake struck in the Indian Ocean east-northeast of Christmas Island on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The quake was recorded at a depth of 6.9 miles at a distance of 108 miles east-northeast of the Australian territory at 1647 GMT, the USGS said. There was no immediate report of a tsunami warning from the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center

Huge anti-capitalism Blockupy rally hits Frankfurt (LIVE UPDATES)




The entrance of the ECB is blocked by over 3,000 'Blockupy' protestors in a march against austerity. 'Blockupy' has announced the coalition has “reached its first goal” of the day.

  • Ever more groups block various shops in the Zeil. Several hundreds still sit and stand in front of MyZeil - Blockupy. (The MyZeil is a shopping mall in the city center of Frankfurt).
  • Blockupy plans to assemble outside of the airport to protest against German immigration policies and what activists have decried as an “inhumane deportation system.” Fraport, the airport operator, has advised passengers to arrive early for their flights.

100-year-old driver hits 9 children walking on a sidewalk



A very old man lost control of his vehicle and hit as many as nine children on a sidewalk outside school.

A 100-year-old man backed up his car back onto the sidewalk and hit 11 people, including nine children, from a primary school in South Los Angeles, California, just after classes had ended on Wednesday, authorities said. Four of the children were in critical condition when firefighters arrived, but were stabilized and were in serious condition at a hospital, fire Capt. Jaime Moore said. Everyone was expected to survive, he said.

The powder blue Cadillac backed slowly toward the group of parents and children who were buying snacks from a sidewalk vendor, and the crowd hit his window and yelled at him to stop, but not before some of the children became trapped under the vehicle, witnesses said. Backpacks of children, shoes, sweets and loose change were strewn about the scene behind a grocery store across from Main Street Elementary.

EXCLUSIVE: Hardship Hits Nigerian Troops In Mali As Officers Solicit Food From Locals



The condition of Nigerian troops in Mali is quickly sliding from bad to worse as inadequate supply of provision is forcing the contingent to solicit food from locals, PREMIUM TIMES can exclusively report.
According to a reliable defence source who asked not to be named, the Nigerian contingent solicits food and handouts under the guise of “courtesy calls” to community leaders in Mali. After one of such courtesy calls on Monday, the troops received a handout of a cow and 50 bags of rice from the Prefect of Tuban in Banamba region. “Our officers and men have resorted to begging locals for cows and rice for survival,” said the official.
“This is done by way of courtesy calls. They invite the prefects of the locals to our camp for visits. The prefect of Tuban (Banamba Region) visited today (Feb 11) with a cow and 50 bags of rice.”

Photo: Drunk Nakéd Woman Hits Fiancee With Car





An unclad, inebriated woman was arrested in Phelan, Cal. on Thursday after allegedly driving into her also unclad fiance, the Daily Press reported.
The unidentified 22-year-old woman struck Alberto Giovanni Bravo, 30, with a 2008 Honda Civic after Bravo got out of the car and walked in front of it, the California Highway Patrol told KTLA News. Bravo landed on the car’s hood.
The woman then applied her brakes, but lost control of the car and crashed into a fence, hitting two trees before coming to a stop, officials say. Bravo flew off the hood to the ground. He was airlifted to Antelope Valley Hospital in critical condition, KTLA News reported.
