After reading the headline, I know a number of you'll say the prophet must be smelling badly right now, but the fact remains Prophet Wale Olagunji who heads Divine Seed of God Chapel Ministry in Ibadan, Oyo State doesn't smell and actually moves about doing his activities and even looks neater than some people who takes their bath every day. Half A decade after Ijegun explosion, victims allege neglect

Victims of pipeline explosion at Ijegun, a suburb of Lagos State, say five years after, they have yet to get compensation from the government.

 The incident claimed the lives of 19 persons while no fewer than 250 persons sustained injuries.

It was learnt that the community had sued Lagos State Government, Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, Petroleum Product Marketing Company for N97bn damages.

However, the community was said to have reconsidered its decision after a traditional ruler intervened to avoid a prolonged legal battle.

At a negotiation  meeting with the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, the chairman of the Ijegun Fire Victims, Mr. Olaseni Shoewu, said the community decided to withdraw the matter from the court because the government agreed to give financial support to those affected by the inferno.

Tens of millions of U.S. dollars in cash were delivered by the CIA in suitcases, backpacks and plastic shopping bags to the office of Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai for more than a decade, according to the New York Times, citing current and former advisers to the Afghan leader.

The so-called "ghost money" was meant to buy influence for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) but instead fuelled corruption and empowered warlords, undermining Washington's exit strategy from Afghanistan, the newspaper quoted U.S. officials as saying.
