Lavrov: US Base Their Statements on Ukraine on Unverified Facts or Framing-Up





The US statements on the situation in Ukraine are based on unverified facts or framing-up, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an interview to Rossiya-1 and RT TV channels.


“The United States, at least over the situation In Ukraine, base their public statements – I will not speak about real politics now – but their public statements they base on unverified facts, or on framing-up, when they show a crashed helicopter and it turns out that it happened not in Ukraine, but in Syria. And there is a lot of such facts, when the false data was used in order to make some public statements, to call for some steps,” Lavrov said.

Nigerian Immigration responds to Davido's statements of harrassment by their officers



A few days ago, Davido tweeted he missed his flight to London due to immigration officers who were harassing him at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja asking for money. The Nigerian Immigration Service has taken care of  Davido's claims.

In a statement released today by the NIS Public Relations Officer, Emeka Obua, they said Davido had approached immigration officers at MMIA on the fateful day with the intention of travelling out from the country and presented a US passport number 460918874 issued at Georgia on Dec. 14,  2009 and valid till December 14, 2019.

Shocking: I am not PDP Speaker, Tambuwal fires critics over pro-Aregbesola Statements



The Speaker of House of Representatives, Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, yesterday, shocked his audience when he tongue lashed members of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) who  criticized him  for speaking glowingly about the administration of the governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, urging them to see performance in governance beyond partisan politics.
Members of the Osun PDP had, some weeks ago, condemned  the Speaker for eulogizing Aregbesola  during his visit to the state.

How Police Brutalize Suspects To Obtain Statements



An international rights group, Avocats Sans Frontiers, France, also known as Lawyers Without Borders, say the Nigerian Police rely mostly on torture to obtain information from suspects.
The report was contained in a case-law hand book developed as part of the implementation of the ‘Promotion of the United Nations Convention Against Torture’ project.
The project was set up in the country by ASF France and its development partners, the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria and the Nigerian Bar Association.
