Minister of Health debunks rumours of Ebola cases in Abuja and Calabar




 Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu has debunked rumours of Ebola cases in Abuja and Calabar and said the case in Kaduna continues to be under investigation. He also stated that another patient has been discharged from the Isolation center in Lagos after being certified free from the deadly virus.  He addressed issues in some tweets via his Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Mr Dan Nwomeh. Imo Deputy Gov Denies Resignation, Impeachment Rumours



Contrary to widespread reports that the Deputy Goveror of Imo State, Sir Jude Agbaso, has resigned his position over allegations of fraud against him by the State House of Assembly, the embattled deputy has stated that he is still the “validly elected Deputy Governor”.
In a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant, SSA, Chief Onyema Opara, in Owerri yesterday entitled “RE:RESIGNATION AND IMPEACHMENT OF DEPUTY GOVERNOR IMO STATE,” Agbaso made his position known on the saga.
“The attention of the Office of the Deputy Government of Imo State has been drawn to rumours making the rounds that His Excellency Sir Jude Agbaso, has resigned from office” the statement started.

Doomsday Rumours: Man Arrested In China After Slashing 23 School Children, 93 Detained




The doomsday rumours of December 21 have generated fears in the heart of many and have even affected several others psychologically.
Chinese authorities have therefore detained 93 people accused of spreading the rumours and also arrested a man who slashed 23 children at a school after he was “psychologically affected” by such predictions, the Xinhua state news agency reported on Monday. According to the reports, the 93 people, from seven provinces detained include members of the banned “Almighty God” cult, adding that they were detained for “handing out leaflets about the apocalypse and spreading rumours”.
