One of Nigeria's most prominent legal activists, Femi Falana, has asked the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to investigate how Aviation Minister Stella Oduah used $1.6 million (N255 million) to purchase two armored BMW cars. In a letter to the EFCC titled “Request for Investigation of economic crimes of fraud and extortion of the sum of N255 million by the Aviation Minister, Ms. Stella Oduah,” Mr. Falana stated that the EFCC was “undoubtedly aware the Minister of Aviation, Ms. Stella Oduah, recently caused the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to purchase two bullet proof vehicles on her behalf at a high price of N255 million.

Farida Waziri Is A Beast, Obasanjo And Atiku Should Work Together To Bring Down Jonathan – Femi Fani-Kayode

I am glad that President Olusegun Obasanjo has finally described the former Chairman of the EFCC, Farida Waziri, for the beast that she has always been and that he has commended my brother Nuhu Ribadu for his excellent record of service to our country.

However I must say that I think that it is ill-advised for Baba to be attacking Abubakar Atiku at this point in time. Two months ago he fired a similar salvo at Bola Tinubu as
well which was again completely unecessary.

The Lagos Deportation And The Law By Femi Falana

By Femi Falana

Deportation of dissidents :  In 1885 the British colonial regime deported King Jaja of Opobo to a remote island in West Indies where he died in 1889. His offence was that he had challenged the imperialist control of the coastal trade. In 1941 Comrade Michael Imoudu, President of the Nigerian Union of Railwaymen was deported from Lagos  and banished to his hometown, Auchi in the Benin Province as he was considered "a potential threat to public safety" .

"A nation of perverts and paedophiles" - Femi Fani Kayode

The Nigerian Senate includes some of the brightest minds in our country many of whom are friends of mine and most of whom have been in active politics for many years.

FA: "A nation of perverts and paedophiles" - Femi Fani Kayode

They have my respect. However what transpired in the Senate chamber a few days ago was a great cause for concern for not just me but millions of Nigerians from all over the world. How an innocent and seemingly uninteresting, uninspiring and unimportant debate about when and at what age a Nigerian citizen could legitimately and lawfully renounce his or her citizenship turned into a referendum on paedophilia and child marriage I dont know. Yet sadly that is precisely what happened and ever since then the nation has been on fire.

Nasir El-Rufai and his two daughters, By Femi Fani-Kayode

Piece written by former Aviation minister, Femi Fani Kayode
The graduate unemployment rate in Nigeria is 80 per cent yet these young people that are abusing and mocking my friend and brother, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, the former Minister of FCT, for saying that he has two daughters that have masters degrees but who cannot find jobs do not seem to appreciate the gravity of their own situation or understand the point that he was trying to make.
Nasir El-Rufai was simply speaking up for the very youths and jobless graduates that are now mocking and insulting him because of his comment. I assure you that his daughters will never starve and they can get jobs anywhere in the world or even end up working in any of his own numerous companies and business concerns if they so choose. He was only trying to use their plight as an example of the sad condition that Nigeria has found herself in where only two out of every ten graduates can find jobs.
If we put that in proper perspective it means that out of every one thousand graduates only 200 will find jobs and it means that out of every 10,000 graduates only 2000 will find jobs. This is as a consequence of the economic mess that the Jonathan administration has created in the last three years. The unemployment rate today has NEVER been as bad as it is today in our entire history. That is what Nasir El-Rufai was trying to point out only because he is humane and he empathises with the youth. He feels their pain. Those young people that do not get the point he was trying to make and that are mocking him and subjecting him and his daughters to ridicule and insults for saying what he said deserve to go through the suffering and frustration that they are experiencing in life.

Every Pastor Who Collects Tithes Is A Thief - Femi Aribisala

As far as many pastors are concerned, the most important scripture of all is not to be found in the word of Jesus.  Neither is it even in the New Testament.
That scripture says: “‘Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and try me now in this,’ says the LORD of hosts, ‘If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.’” (Malachi 3:10).
This scripture is drummed repeatedly into Christians on Sundays.  However, the only time Jesus mentioned tithing in scripture, he pointed out that it was not a weighty matter of the law. (Matthew 23:23).  Hebrews says people only receive tithes “according to the law.” (Hebrews 7:5).  It then insists tithing (and everything else under the law) has been annulled: “The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless.” (Hebrews 7:18-19).  Nevertheless, mercenary pastors continue to insist on the payment of tithes.

“I Am Not A Nigerian” – Femi Kuti

There are artistes who only got noticed because of a popular parent, but for Femi Kuti, whatever he has achieved today, he has worked hard for it. His father’s influence was key though, but Femi deserves everything he has in music today.
Award winning Femi Kuti, eldest son of legendary Afro beat pioneer Fela Kuti, says Afro beat is growing in leaps and bounds in several parts of the world despite its seeming gradual death in Nigeria.

‘Jonathan has today to sign 2013 budget’ — Femi Falana

Human rights lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana, has said  President  Goodluck Jonathan has only today (Wednesday) to assent the 2013 Appropriation Bill sent to him by the National Assemby on January 14.
The lawyer said in a statement on Tuesday that  signing the budget   after today would amount to the President violating Section 58(4) of the Constitution, which makes it mandatory for him to assent to it within 30 days of receiving it.
He said, “The only option available to the President if he  fails to sign the budget today is for him to request the Supreme Court to determine the extent of the powers of the National Assembly to rewrite the budget”.

Nigerian Police Force: My Ordeal - By Femi Badejo

Sometime in November, an employee of Access Bank Plc, Mr. Femi Badejo and his security guard, Joshua Moses, were shot by policemen after they responded to a distress call about a robbery at the banker’s home in the Ikota area of Lagos. (If you missed it see it HERE)

Femi is finally out of the hospital and is telling his own side of the story. See it below...
As I discussed the armed robbery incident with other occupants within our apartment complex, we noticed the gate open slightly followed by the unmistakable sounds of a war grade AK47 rifle."
At the Instant, I docked under a car in the apartment complex and noticed my security guard groaning excruciating a few meters from my location.

With Anti-Christ tendencies, can Barack Obama be trusted? Written by Femi Fani-Kayode

You guys need to read this. Written by Femi Fani-Kayode, a two time former Minister and Special Adviser under the Olusegun Obasanjo government.
Why is it that each time Barack Obama is about to submit himself for a Presidential election and seek a mandate from his people there is a raging, monumental, earth-shattering and record-breaking freak of a storm which kills numerous people in America? It happened a few days before his Presidential election in 2008 and it is has just happened again a few days before his Presidential election in 2012. ''
