OMG!!: 4 Buried Alive In Katsina



Three children and a 20 year old man were early yesterday killed in Funtawa village of Rimi Local Government Area of Katsina State when they were buried alive at a sand excavation site after that portion suddenly collapsed on them. Three of the dead, Mallam Maharazu, 20, Muhammad Ma'aruf, 12, Muhammad Kabiru, 8 were brothers. The fourth, seven year-old Muhammad Halliru, was assisting the brothers to excavate sand for making mud bricks, witnesses said. The sand buried them and they couldn't be rescued early enough to escape death.

A man believed to be in his late thirties was lynched at Ashaiman New Town yesterday after he attempted to rob an MTN sales point at gunpoint.  He was in the company of two others during the robbery operation but he was not lucky, as he was grabbed by an angry mob and subsequently beaten and set on fire.  The robber, who gave his name as Romeo, claimed to be a resident of Kasoa Barrier in the Central Region. A Nigerian gang member who resides at Ashaiman Tulaku barrier, according to the deceased, gave information about the sales point.

Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, has showered the sum of N1 million each to four players of the Golden Eaglets'team and the sum of N2 million to the assistant coach who are indigenes of Imo state.

While receiving four of the players Kelechi Iheanacho, Chidiebere Nwakali, Chidera Ezeh and Uzoha Odinaka alongside the team's Assistant Coach, Emmanuel Amuneke at the Government House in Owerri the Imo state capital, the governor congratulated the players in making their state and the whole continent proud in the just concluded U-17 World Cup competition in Dubai.

A former Mind of State Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar, on Thursday told the head of the All Progressives Congress he couldn't be wooed to participate in the party as he had never been a politician.
He made that disclosure once the leadership of the APC visited him in Minna, Niger State. Abubakar while talking to newsmen after his ending up in the APC control said,

“I am not a politician, I am not a partisan politician and I don’t need to be wooed.

Justice Abubakar Umar of an FCT High Court on Thursday ordered a Polish woman, Mrs. Dora Gilmaska, be remanded in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission   till November 26.The judge gave the order after he withdrew the bail he granted Gilmaska because she failed on two occasions to look in court on her behalf trial.
“I remember that on September 26 the EFCC requested the bench warrant because the accused could not be located.  I issued a bench warrant on her behalf arrest,” he said.
