Another plane crash averted in Abuja



Another air disaster was averted at the Nnamdi Azikwe Airport, Abuja on Monday as a Med-View Airlines aircraft from Lagos suddenly took to the air again at the point of landing in Abuja.
The pilot told the passengers that he took to the air again to avoid a collision with another aircraft on the tarmac.

Twin Terrorist Attack Averted In Borno



Nigerian army in maiduguri has aborted twin attacks cordinated by boko-haram terrorists in konduga and Bama local governments area of Borno state.
This became possible due to intelligent reports made available to the military troops that over 100 boko haram sect members had mobilized in a nearby bush close to Bama town with sophiscated weapons to attack Bama and konduga local government areas of the state on
monday morning (today).

Tragedy Averted: NNPC Aircraft Overshoots Runway



An air tragedy was earlier today averted when an aircraft belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), 5NNOC operated by Aero contractors overshot the runway on landing at the Osubi airstrip, in Warri, Delta state. In a statement, the Acting Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division of the NNPC, Tumini Green, while confirming the incident, said the aircraft was on a routine operation to Warri when it overshot the runway of the airport.
The statement said there were no casualties or injuries and that the appropriate aviation agencies have been contacted and investigations have commenced.

Air Mishap Averted On Ilorin-Lagos Route





Smarting from the helicopter crash that claimed the lives of former Governor of Kaduna State, Patrick Yakowa, former National Security Adviser, General Andrew Azazi, and four others last Saturday in Bayelsa State, the nation would have witnessed yet another disaster but for providence, as an Overland Airways flight from Ilorin to Lagos suffered technical problems on take-off. A source told Vanguard that the flight, OJ 1188, had difficulties stabilising in the air as the landing gear failed to retract after take-off from Ilorin Airport, Sunday.
