Tsarnaev indicted on 30 counts, including using weapon of mass destruction

A federal grand jury has returned a 30-count indictment against Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the surviving suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings, the U.S. attorney's office said Thursday. Tsarnaev was charged with using weapons of mass destruction, among other charges.

The double bombings near the finish line of the Boston Marathon on April 15 killed three people and injured at least 264.  Police took Tsarnaev into custody on April 19 after finding him hiding in a boat in the backyard of a Watertown, Massachusetts, home.  The other bombing suspect, his brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev, died after a gunfight with authorities hours before his brother's arrest. After much secrecy and protest, Tamerlan was buried in a rural Virginia cemetery.

DNA samples taken from Boston bomb doesn't match to Tsarnaev's widow

An analysis of DNA obtained from pieces of the detonated Boston Marathon explosives found no matches to the widow of dead suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev or to either of the suspects, a law enforcement official said Friday.

The official, who is not authorized to comment publicly, said the source of the DNA is "unknown,'' adding that it could belong to any one of a number of people, from the point of the bomb-component's manufacture and distribution to sale.

The capture of 2nd Boston bombing suspect, Dzhorkhar Tsarnaev

The 19 year old terror suspect was cornered on a small boat in the back of a house and captured alive Friday night. Dzhorkhar was found by a man who discovered blood trails to a boat at the backyard of a home in a Watertown neighborhood. The man looked inside the boat, noticed movement, and called the police.

An hour later, a seriously injured Dzhorkhar, who escaped an overnight shootout with police that left his older brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev dead, was captured and taken to the hospital, bringing an end to one of the the biggest manhunts in recent US history. Five days after the bombing, one suspect killed, another captured. Just five days! Nigeria needs to learn a thing or two from this.
