US Navy Yard Shooting spree leave 13 Dead; As Shooter got Killed

A gunman opened fire on Monday around a Navy facility building in Washington, United States, killing about 12 people. Identified as Aaron Alexi, the shooter was later gunned down by a sniper. “He aimed the gun and fired our way. I couldn’t believe it,” a male survivor who identified himself as Todd Brundidge told the media.

The violence started unfolding around 8.20am on Monday, when several shots were fired inside the southeast Washington facility.  People frantically ran down stairs to get out of the building. Mr Todd said: “They were pushing. They were shoving. People were falling down. As we came outside, people were climbing the wall trying to get over the wall to get out. …. Tragedy struck in Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State the penultimate Thursday as yet another trigger-happy "servant of the law" shot and killed the local barber, father of a tiny daughter. The barber, identified as Bright, was a single father of a two-and-a-half-year-old girl, owned a hair saloon that also served as a home to the both of them. 

The man never lived to implement his life goal -- to see his daughter accepted to the best school possible. That day, it has been gathered, Bright, having bathed his daughter Ebun and prepared her food, opened his saloon, and customers began flowing in.

HEARTLESS grandma Janet Strickland allegedly enlisted her teenage grandson in a heinous plot to kill her hus­band – the kid’s 72-year-old grandpa!

William Strickland, 19, agreed to the sick scheme, and then pumped six slugs into his grandfather’s back as he waited to catch a bus for his dialysis treatment, say prosecutors.

Later, the two used the dead man’s money to go on a shopping spree – buying a flashy car, furniture, tattoos, a cell phone and more, the authorities add.

“There’s a special place in hell for people like this,” said a source. “Stone cold hearted isn’t the word for it. This is pure evil.”

Pardon Spree: Ila Indigenes Urge Jonathan To Pardon Tafa Balogun

The people of Ila-Orangun town in Osun State have called on President Goodluck Jonathan to extend state pardon to a former Inspector General of Police, Mr. Tafa Balogun, saying his conviction was political.

Osun State Chairman of the defunct Justice Party, Mr. Adesoji Adeleke, stated this in a telephone interview with our correspondent, on Friday. Adeleke, who hails from Obalogbo’s compound, Oke-Jigbo, in Okomo Ruling House, Ila-Orangun, said it was wrong of the Federal Government to leave out Balogun in the state pardon.

He said, “We are contacting all Ila parapo on Sunday with a view to knowing what next step to take on the issue. His travail is not unconnected with the politics of succession at that time.
