The situation on the line of contact is generally calm. The Novorussian forces are withdrawing their heavy weapons according to schedule while the junta forces are, by most reports, not or, not much. The excuse for these delays is that "the necessary conditions have not been created". In reality, the problem is that Poroshenko has very little control over the various armed forces. Apparently, the regular armed forces do more or less obey him, and since these are the most heavily armed, there is some hope that they will eventually withdraw. The various death-squads (volunteer battalions, internal forces, etc.) will probably resist as much as possible, but since they don't have much heavy firepower, that is probably not a major obstacle right now.

Attempts at Maidan-like regime changes in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary are now underway. The West wants and desire to politically secure NATO's new rear or, respectively, forward positions.

This means and demands closing the "post-communist" period with its "democratization" and "liberalization" game and finalizing the prepared transition to a "more efficient' right-wing dictatorship.

As a regime and type, new fascist dictatorship would be much closer to and more aligned with Ukraine's Nazi/Banderite oligarchy.

Cuban ex-president Fidel Castro lashed out at the United States and Europe on Monday, accusing them of war-mongering and comparing the NATO military alliance’s representatives to the Nazi SS.

In a tortuous column published in Cuban state media, the father of the island’s communist revolution also attacked US Senator John McCain over United States policy in the Middle East, calling him “Israel’s most unconditional ally.”

The violent attack on a Ukrainian TV chief by far-right politicians has been condemned by Amnesty International and other high-profile politicians in the crisis-torn country.

Oleksandr Panteleymonov, the acting head of Ukraine's state television stations, had his office in Kiev invaded by members of the Svoboda Party(Nazi)—a nationalist party whose presence in the country's new government has been a source of great controversy—on Tuesday. They proceeded to assault him and force him to write a resignation letter. The men included Igor Miroshnichenko, an elected member of the Ukrainian parliament. The BBC said they were livid after Panteleymonov decided to broadcast a ceremony from the Kremlin.
