National Union of Electricity Employees Threaten Nationwide Blackout If FG Doesn't End ASUU Strike In 7 Days




Labour activist and General Secretary, National Union of Electricity Employees, NUEE, Joe Ajaero has given the Federal Government 1 week to solve its differences with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) or cripple the Nation with the mother-of-all-strikes.
Ajaero who was speaking throughout the opening of an exercise workshop organized for labour leaders in Enugu, threatened to ally with other unions in the united states to participate ASUU on a solidarity stike if the impasse persists.

Clergyman: Obasanjo Dumps Politics For Evangelism, Organizes Nationwide Crusades



Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo may dump politics for evangelism soon.
We gathered that the ex-president has joined other clerics in organising nationwide crusades.
The reason, was learnt may be connected to the fact that President Jonathan could not allow him dictate how he wanted Nigeria to be governed.
In protest, Obasanjo was said to have dumped politics for evangelism, having been trained at the National Open University.
He was said to have joined forces with a royal father from his home town, Oba Adedapo Tejuoso, Karounwi III, and the world-renowned evangelist, Kayode Williams whose ministry is Bishop Kayode Williams World Outreach, to hold crusades nationwide.

Pensioners To Begin Nationwide Protest Feb. 25 – NUP President



Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP) said in Abuja on Tuesday that its planned nationwide protest would begin on Feb. 25. The National President of NUP, Alhaji Ali Abatcha, told newsmen that a meeting at the instance of the Minister of Labour and Productivity, Emeka Wogu, ended in a deadlock.
He said the meeting was attended by representatives of the Head of Service of the Federation, the Ministry of Justice and others. Abatcha said the union is seeking the release of the one per cent check-off dues which members voluntarily contributed, “but seized by the Pension Reform Task Team.
