Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) yesterday rose from its annual central meeting in Kaduna condemning the persecution of Muslim women in some states for wearing hijab.
Information Nigeria reports that last week Thursday, scores of Muslim Students under the aegis of Muslim Students Society (MSS) stormed the office of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola to protest the alleged banning of Muslim students from wearing Hijab in public schools, saying it is a victimisation of their religion.
