pregnant mother killed by lightning on the day her child is supposed to be born
A 36-year-old pregnant Amish woman was picking berries in the woods near her home in Pennsylvania, with her husband and two children, in the morning. All of a sudden the sky darkened and it started raining. Mary H. Yoder, who was nine months pregnant, took shelter under a pine tree while her husband and the children ducked under another tree. Lightning struck her after a few minutes, killing Mary and her unborn child.

The mystery continued on Tuesday as a strange lightening struck the Vatican hours after Pope Benedict XVI shocked the world with his decision to leave office by the of February, 2013. PHOTO: Mysterious Lightning Explosion Kills 7-Month Baby, Traditional Ruler, And 4 Others
7-month-old baby, a traditional healer, and four others died in a mysterious lightning blast on Monday.
The bodies of the dead were burnt while their limbs were strewn all over the place covering a distance of up to 60 metres. The bodies were removed on Tuesday with the dormitory town awash with speculation on the cause of the mystery blast. The traditional healer and his clients' remains were taken to the General Hospital for post mortem.

Girl, 13, Struck To Death By Lightning
Ghana – A 13-year-old primary six pupil, Laila Nuhu died on the spot after she was struck by lightning last night in an open field in the Upper West regional capital, Wa.
